Chapter 451 

Agnes must’ve spaced out for about half a minute. 

Felt like her brain was on a blank slate. 

Even though she was mentally prepared, she was still taken aback for a moment. 

Kerri walked up to her and asked, “So what’s your plan about this, Agnes? Are you really not telling this to Jared?” 

Agnes hesitated a bit before saying, “I haven’t figured it out yet.” 

Kerri advised, “There’s no bad blood between you and him, Agnes. Your beef is with Alyssa, his sister. But it’s not fair to make him pay for her mistakes. Plus, you guys are having a baby, you can’t let the past grudges affect the next generation. Agnes, it’s okay if you can’t forgive Alyssa, but there’s no need to wreck your marriage for a revenge.” 

Agnes replied, “I’ll think about it when I get home.” 

With that, she left the campus. 

Agnes was walking alone on the street, she even forgot to hail a cab. 

Her mind seemed to be still blank. 

She was pregnant, with Jared’s baby. 

It was an indescribable feeling. 

After the shock, panic, and fear, strangely enough, she felt a hint of joy that she couldn’t put into words. 

She loved kids, but this baby seemed to come at a wrong time. 

Regardless, Agnes never thought about giving up. 

However, growing up in an unhappy family, she didn’t want her child to be deprived of a father’s love from birth. 

What should she do then? Let go of all the grudges for the sake of the baby? 

But if she let everything slip, she felt like she’s betraying her mother, who was framed back then. 

Agnes‘ original intention was to reveal the truth, so everyone knew what really happened. 

To clear her mother’s name, who was wrongly accused of fraud and corruption. 

But if she let everything go, how was she supposed to fight Alyssa? 

Agnes had never been so indecisive. 

Before she knew it, she had arrived at Tim Tower. 

Agnes looked up, blinded by the reflection of the sun from the glass curtain wall. 

She had no idea what was on her mind at that moment. 

She walked into Tim Tower. 

Many people inside knew her as the wife of their boss.

She hadn’t even figured out what she wanted to say to Jared. She was just really confused and wanted to see Jared’s reaction. 

Turned out, Jared didn’t come to work that day. 

His assistant, Leo, said that Jared’s phone was not reachable. 

Leo was worried. He said Jared was a workaholic who wouldn’t miss work even if it was the end of the world, let alone today when there were important clients. 

Agnes felt a strange mix of emotions. 

Was it because Jared was too disappointed when he got the test results last night?
