Chapter 476
Suddenly, the air became unusually quiet.
Agnes was gasping for breath.
But Agnes noticed Jared seemed to be holding his own.
His eyes were filled with turmoil, like storm clouds brewing.
He stared blankly at Agnes for a few seconds.
Then, like he’d just been pricked by a needle, he suddenly jumped up.
He stepped back two steps, then walked back over to Agnes, still in disbelief, he asked, “What did you say?”
Agnes didn’t utter a word.
She got up and put on her clothes.
Having straightened her clothes, she said nonchalantly, “I tricked you, just trying to calm you down.”
Agnes‘ voice was incredibly cold.
Jared’s face turned incredibly sour.
His fingers slowly clenching, veins popping.
How could she joke like this?
Didn’t she know how cruel this was for her?

Jared felt like he’d been kicked from heaven to hell in an instant.
The blistering flames, the rolling lava, could turn him to ash in an instant.
Why was this woman so vicious!
He’d never been this hurt in his life, yet Agnes could always effortlessly send him on an emotional roller coaster, pushing him into hell, leaving him helpless!
Jared’s eyes reddened.
He turned around and growled, “Get out! I never want to see you again!”
Agnes calmly picked up her suitcase, “Don’t worry, you won’t see me again, Jared. We don’t need to say goodbye, take care of yourself.”
After Agnes left,
Jared felt his body couldn’t handle this messy emotional state for the first time.
He felt like all his energy had been drained.
He sat on the couch, he sat for a long, long time, feeling that something was off.
In the situation just now, Agnes‘ reaction seemed instinctive.
And Jared recalled that whenever he forced her, Agnes seemed to be consciously or unconsciously protecting her belly.
Something in Jared’s brain flashed.
That day they went to the hospital for a check–up,
