The truth was more complicated than the rumors. Even Jared himself had no clue where she’d buggered off to.

But he still came up empty in his search for that woman. 

Out of the blue, Jared asked, “Any word from him?” 

Leo was getting ready to answer. 

Alongside finding Ms. Pritchard, there was another big reason why Jared built this info web. 

The guy’s name was Reggie. 

This man was no ordinary man, He’s an important figure in the Capital mafia. 

But for the past few years, he’d been laying low in Manhattan. 

His whereabouts were highly secretive.

But most of the time, he was like a ghost. 

“Boss, I got definite information that tomorrow’s Reggie’s birthday. Rumor has it he’s throwing a bash at the Imperial Hotel. If you want a shot at him, this is your only chance.” 

Jared frowned, What’s the scoop on the room?” 

“Got it all figured out. It’s a top–floor luxury suite. Word is he’s booked the whole floor. Lots of mobsters and legit guys will be there. Heard the entire Imperial’s got a private army right now. Even Interpol’s got their eyes on it, cause the world’s most wanted, Sean, might show u

Leo never quite understood why Jared was so hung up on Reggie.

Mr. K accidentally cracked a secret organization, finding out some country was in touch with Interpol, planning on nabbing Sean tomorrow. 

With an army of mercenaries at the Imperial, if they really tried to nab Sean, things would surely get heated. 

It was a dangerous situation. 

Jared glanced at Leo. “Don’t ask why. Just do as I say.” 

All Leo could say was, “Alright, I’ll get on it right away.”

Agnes wrapped up her work early. 

After saying goodbye to Amy, she was ready to leave. 

Amy was her partner and they had been working together for over two years and got along like a house on fire.
