In a flash, all media were buzzing with excitement. 

News of Jared’s engagement was spreading like wildfire. 

But, no one could pin down who Jared’s fiancée actually was. 

Over the years, any single woman who had any sort of relationship with him would become fodder for tabloid gossip. 

But, so far, there was no solid proof. 

The media was also totally clueless about the identity of Jared’s mysterious fiancée. 

Of course, some outlets even went as far as coming up with a list of potential candidates. 

Topping the list was Valeria Thomas, the General Manager of the Thomas Group. 

Valeria was not an ordinary person. 

The Thomas Group was a business empire built from scratch by Cilian Thomas. 

Valena was a member of the Thomas family, but not Cilian’s biological daughter – she was the daughter of Cilian’s brother, Berlin Thomas. 

Valeria was incredibly talented. In just a few short years, she had clawed her way into the Thomas Group, eventually usurping her own father’s position. 

Within the company, she showed no mercy to her father. 

During meetings, she even hurled files at Berlin’s face. 

Berlin was livid and even considered cutting ties with her, but Valeria’s abilities were undeniable. 

Over the years, her aggressive expansion had solidified the Thomas Group’s leading position in the industry. 

Rumor had it that she had never lost a takeover battle. 

Just hearing her name would send shivers down the spines of industry insiders. 

A woman of such caliber naturally led people to imagine her matched with Jared, as if they were a match made in heaven. 

Leo was fed up with Selina’s gossip, “Enough, the boss hates it when his private life is discussed. I don’t know who the kid is, but he’s not the boss’s illegitimate child. You better get to your meeting. If you’re late, you might get demoted.” 

Selina promptly left the elevator. 

But she was still confused, “That’s not possible. If he’s not the boss’s child, why does he look so much like him?” 

Leo hadn’t noticed this. 

But when Selina pointed it out, upon looking at the boy again, Leo couldn’t shake off the resemblance between him and the boss. 

Leo rubbed his eyes in disbelief. 

He had thought the boss would leave the boy in his office to be taken care of by his secretary. 

But to his surprise, the boss took the boy straight to the conference room. 

During the meeting, the boy sat on the sofa nearby. 

The boss even glanced at him a few times during the meeting. 

They had been in meetings all day. 

The boy woke up at three in the afternoon. 

At that moment, they were in the middle of a crucial part of the meeting, with the financial director presenting the semi–annual report. As soon as the boy woke up, Jared noticed. 

He subtly raised his hand, signaling the financial director to pause his presentation.
