Chapter 525 

Looking at the boss’s deep and stem gaze, Leo felt nervous. “Are you mad at me, boss?” He wondered. He didn’t even understand how the boss’s wife got his phone 

number. 

Leo sighed interally, but kept a calm demeanor on the surface, “boss, Ms. Pritchard came to see you. I guess she ran into some trouble downstairs and couldn’t come up, so she called me.” 

Jared’s brow furrowed slightly, “Fire all the receptionists.” 

Leo was a bit taken aback, but he knew the boss’s reaction was normal. The boss had waited for Ms. Pritchard for four years, and anyone who stood in their way would face his wrath. 

However, Leo did not anticipate that Ms. Pritchard would actively come to see Jared. The incident at the airport was still fresh in his mind. The man who suddenly appeared by Ms. Pritchard’s side had broken the boss’s hand, and even now, the boss’s right hand was still bandaged. 

Leo asked, “Shall I bring Ms. Pritchard up?” 

Jared was silent for a moment, his face not looking very happy, “Tell her I’m in a meeting and ask her to wait for me in the lounge.” 

But Jared actually had no meeting today. 

Leo didn’t ask the boss why he did this, perhaps because the boss wanted to keep some distance, after all, the incident at the airport was a huge blow to his pride. 

Upon hearing Leo’s words, the receptionists all showed surprised–faces. From the moment Leo personally went down to pick up this woman, they realized that her identity was definitely not simple. Although her face was fresh, those arrogant receptionists all became humble. 

Leo said to Ms. Pritchard, “Let’s go, I’ll take you up.” 

Ms. Pritchard followed Leo into the elevator. Before leaving, they overheard the receptionists discussing, “Who the hell is that woman that Leo personally came to pick up?” 

They speculated that she might be the boss’s new flame, but Leo knew that these were just their imaginations. 

Those people continued discussing until the elevator doors closed, and Leo finally breathed a sigh of relief. 

Leo was ready to explain to Jared, “Ms. Pritchard, you might have misunderstood. Actually, the boss has not been as they say these years. As for Sharon…” 

“Leo, I’m not interested in his private life, so you don’t have to report to me.” Agnes interrupted him.
