After Lundy took off, Agnes hopped back into her car. 

She sat there, lost in thought for a good while.

A quick Google search confirmed Agnes‘ hunch – Beatrice was hosting a charity auction for her birthday.

This didn’t sound like the Beatrice she knew.

She was handling PR for the Thomas Group. 

The job might sound fancy and all, but it didn’t carry much weight. But, she had been killing it these past few years.

Of course, that was partly because Agnes had had her arrested, painting her as a cold and scheming woman. 

She was kicked out of school and blacklisted in the entertainment industry. 

But everything changed after a car accident Beatrice had. 

Word has it that she suffered amnesia after a severe crash. 

She didn’t remember anything about her past. 

And the once arrogant and heartless Beatrice had a complete personality flip. 

She turned kind and benevolent, and started doing all these charitable deeds. 

Her big comeback was during a devastating earthquake two years ago. 

Apparently, she sold all her jewelry and properties and donated tens of millions of dollars to the victims. 

Suddenly, she was the talk of the town. 

Agnes found an audio interview with Beatrice after her massive donation. 

There was no video, just audio. 

The voice was definitely Beatrice’s, but the tone was nothing like the Beatrice she knew. 

Beatrice said, “I’ve done a lot of bad things in the past, and I’ve paid the price. I had a car accident and lost all my memories. I believe it’s a second chance for me to start over. I’ve been through life and death, and it made me realize the meaning of life, which is to help more people…” 

After the interview, Agnes couldn’t help but scoff. 

Beatrice’s way of polishing her image was quite crafty.
