With a proud smile on her face, Beatrice said to Agnes, “Agnes, did you see that? Jared is totally different towards me now. He spent a fortune to help me out, can you see how important I am to him?” 

Agnes just chuckled, “Well, congrats then.” 

Her tone was so indifferent, like she didn’t give a damn. 

Beatrice was sure she was just pretending not to care. 

She must be fuming inside, that’s why she ran off to the balcony alone.
