Heartstrings on Fire (Agnes and Jared) novel Chapter 595

Kerri walked into the office.

She looked calm, "Mr. Whitfield."

Jared also stood up, "Dr. Bradford, long time no see."

Kerri gave a slight smile, "Indeed a long time, didn’t expect to bump into you here, Mr. Whitfield."

"It’s not a coincidence, Brayden asked me to bring this kid back."

The mention of Brayden caused a slight change in Kerri's expression.

Kerri said, "I just went to see him, this is my patient, her family is really anxious right now, they hope you could bring the kid back, Mr. Whitfield."

Jared calmly said, "I didn't come specifically to bring him back. This kid and I have some connection, so I want to meet the kid’s family."

On the way here, Agnes had already filled Kerri in.

Back in Manhattan, Nocturne had already met Jared once.

After hearing this, Kerri couldn’t help but marvel at the mysterious ways of destiny.

Out of all the people, Nocturne picked Jared.

They had deliberately avoided each other for four years, yet happened to meet at that time, at that place, because of that incident.

Anyone could feel a sense of destiny.

But this was what Agnes was most worried about.

Kerri calmly said, "I'm sorry, the kid's family is not here right now, you might not be able to meet them. After all, you guys don't know each other. Mr. Whitfield, why do you want to meet the kid's family?"

This was Kerri subtly probing.

But after hearing Kerri’s words, Jared seemed unhappy.

Jared asked, "You said the kid's parents left?"

Kerri nodded, "I’ll be taking care of the kid these days. Mr. Whitfield, you don't need to worry."

Jared suddenly stood up, his voice had a hint of anger, "What kind of irresponsible parents are they? Their kid was taken away and they don’t care, are there really such irresponsible parents in the world?"

Kerri was a bit taken aback, didn’t know what to say.

The next second, Jared directly picked up Nocturne.

He turned around to leave.

Kerri quickly stopped him, "Mr. Whitfield, you can't take the kid away."
