Reluctantly, Agnes had to sit next to Jared.
Yolanda's eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets at the sight.
Surprisingly, Jared didn't react to Agnes' presence. Could it be that Jared still held a flame for his ex-wife? That's what Yolanda was thinking.
Sure, he might still have some residual feelings, but that was only human nature. Things had certainly changed between them, or else they wouldn't have ended up divorced.
Besides, Jared was notorious for his philandering ways.
He treated women like playthings, and he was possibly just messing with her.
Judging by Agnes' demeanor, she didn't seem too interested in engaging with Jared. The more uncomfortable Agnes was, the better Yolanda felt.
Who would have thought that Agnes would have such a day?
During the dinner, the station head and two department heads kept toasting Jared.
Halfway through, Yolanda also stood up, and she approached Jared, asking "Mr. Whitfield, I was an intern at the Tim Group. I owe much of my growth to your guidance. This toast is for you."
Jared responded in a gentlemanly manner, clinking his glass against hers, "Aaron and I are friends, so taking care of you is the least I could do, Ms. Bowman."
