"Over in Seraveth, there's been nonstop war these past two years. I heard someone say that wherever there's conflict, organ traffickers are never far behind."
Not only did people die in war, but even more were replaced and left with nothing. Oftentimes, these people became prime targets for organ traffickers.
Sadly, wherever there was war, there was illegal human organ trade. Meanwhile, the legal status of such activities had become the greatest shield for these war profiteers.
Originally, tragedies like this felt worlds away from ordinary folks like them. But with conflicts breaking out more frequently in the alternate world for the past couple of years, Shannon had started to pay more attention.
"It's said that the Divine Power favors humans. The Alternate Divine Power would rather wipe out all spirits and demons that absorb spiritual energy than harm humans—that shows how much it favors humanity.
"But if it's so protective, why does it let endless wars rage across nations and even let chaos like 'human animals' happen?"
Shannon didn't care that Eddie was there; she bluntly shared her thoughts.
Everyone except him was already familiar with the situation.
So, when Shannon connected the organ trafficking to the Divine Power, Lexie quickly guessed, "Do you think all the chaos originated from Vlad?"
Thalia, who had carried the Might of the Divine Power for 18 years, thought deeper than Lexie.
"Vlad's malice can definitely influence many, but causing all these wars across nations? Without the help of mystical beasts, only the Divine Power can pull that off."
She added, "I'm afraid this is the very result of their merging."
After Thalia finished speaking, she looked straight at Velquin. If anyone here understood Vlad best, it was probably him.
Eddie then noticed the vintage porcelain doll, which he had assumed was just a decoration, actually opened its mouth and spoke. "This definitely looks like Vlad's doing."
