In another luxury villa not far from them, Adam was explaining to his family why he would be staying away from home for a while.
At his age, he had never truly fallen for anyone, let alone pursued someone.
Honestly, even though he had decided to stay nearby, he wasn't entirely sure how to go about courting someone. After all, he wasn't some hot-blooded young man anymore.
When the rest of the Jensen family learned that Adam would be temporarily living elsewhere, no one raised any objections.
As the current head of the family, there was really no one, aside from George, who had any authority over him. But even the old man had long since given up trying to convince his eldest son to settle down and get married.
Now that Adam had found interest in someone, he naturally wouldn't stop him. He even stated, "As long as you're willing to settle down, I won't mind if you move out for good in the future."
Adam didn't say much, mainly because he wasn't sure if Thalia would accept him. Just as he was deep in thought, the doorbell rang.
He stepped out, and when he saw who was standing at the front gate through the video intercom, a flicker of surprise lit up his usually calm eyes.
It was her.
He had thought, after dropping something like that on her so suddenly, she would need at least a few days to think it over before giving him an answer.
He hadn't expected her to show up so soon, barely hours since they had last seen each other.
For once, Adam found himself momentarily thrown off balance. He quickly made his way to the door, only to stop just short of it, taking a moment to check his appearance.
Once he was sure everything looked right, he slowed his pace and walked over, personally opening the door to welcome her in.
Thalia hadn't come alone; Shannon was with her, too.
It was actually Shannon who had suddenly recalled something important.
