Emily stood on the deck and looked at the sea and the skyline.
They had been on the ship for three days, so they had worn all five sets of clothes over the past three days. They were occupied with social engagements as well as drinking. Finally, they were not as busy as before.
However, she was the only one who got more free time. Franklin still had dinner every day and one day he drank until dawn. No one expected a cold-blooded person like Franklin would be so willing to entertain others, which made his brothers and nephews even more excited. Therefore, the people persuaded him to drink and fool around with them.
It was evening, but the cheers on the first floor could still be heard.
Emily smiled and wrapped her clothes tightly. Until now, she still felt like she was dreaming. She didn't expect her to marry Franklin again hurriedly. What surprised her most was not getting married, but the wedding. After all, it was only now that she knew that the previous so-called divorce was a cover given to her by Franklin. They had never really gone through the divorce procedures.
"It's cold. You're supposed to wear more clothes." Suddenly, a warm coat was draped over her.
Emily was stunned and immediately turned around. She thought it was Franklin, but it was Lucas.
"It's you." Obviously, Emily was disappointed.
Lucas smiled bitterly and said, "Do you think it's my Youngest Uncle? He can't walk away as he's still being dragged and drunk by them. In the past, my Youngest Uncle was cold and elegant, which was out of our reach. Now that he's suddenly down to earth, everyone naturally has to pull him to drink two more glasses. But today is the third day, and tomorrow such circumstances won't continue. This is also the rule set by my Youngest Uncle. Tomorrow, everyone should go back after having fun."
"Yes, I know. I understand him. On such a happy day, of course, we should have a good time." Emily thought Lucas was worried that she would be angry, so she immediately said generously.
Lucas said, "It's good that you're not angry. In fact, I was really surprised. I didn't expect you and Youngest Uncle... You... How can I put it? I really didn't expect you to come to this stage. I really didn't expect Youngest Uncle to be so affectionate to you."
Emily smiled awkwardly.
The days when she and Lucas were in love were like a lifetime apart. She had never thought that she would walk to this day with Franklin.
"By the way, how are you now?" Emily asked.
She had never seen Lucas since she came back, so she didn't know what he was doing.
Lucas said truthfully, "Not bad. The company is running normally. Anyway, it's getting better and better. In the past, we Wright Family had to rely on the The Brent Group to maintain our business. Now, even without the help of the The Brent Group, we can still live as usual. Of course, this is the opportunity that my Youngest Uncle gave us, and my parents and I are grateful."
"Are you okay now?" Emily asked again.
Lucas smiled and said, "My son is four years old, and I have a daughter who is only two years old. She's really cute at this age. But they're still too young. They just caught a cold these two days, so I didn't bring them out. When they get better, I'll take them to your house to visit you and Youngest Uncle."
"It's great to have both son and daughter." Emily sighed.
Thinking of her son Bryce again, she couldn't help but feel uncomfortable.
Although she had a deeper relationship with Franklin now, the disappearance of her son was still a knot in her heart, and also a knot in Franklin's. They two acted well now, which was completely controlled by their reason. She did not know when they will have emotional outbreaks.
"I've heard about you. A lucky man has his own destiny. Your child will be fine." Lucas comforted her again.
