Her Brutal Alpha novel Chapter 62

Michael was unsure on why there was no scent, it was not normal for wolves. The scent was there to protect females, to show other wolves that they needed to be careful and protective around them.

Another day went past and I began to feel frustrated myself, Blaine was refusing to speak to me and it was beginning to become irritating. I knew I was wrong but he wasn't allowing me to explain.

Stubborn and irritated myself, I got out of bed and rushed into my bathroom for a quick shower. Chucking on some fresh clothes, I headed for my bedroom door.

I descended the stairs, catching my father's presence in the corner of my eye. "I'm going back home." I said as I got to the bottom of the stairs making my way to the front door but in a flash my dad was blocking the entrance.

"I don't think that's the best idea Kennedy." He replied.

"I need to go dad, I'm his mate. He wouldn't hurt me." I said, attempting to reassure him.

"No Ken, I can't have you leave yet. He can have an unpredictable temper and I am definitely not sending my daughter there when I don't know what his mental state is like." My father's words were stubborn, and protective.

"Dad, he wouldn't hurt me. I'm his mate." I replied, attempting to reassure him.

"I said no." He fired back at me; looking me dead straight in the eyes.

Suddenly, I heard foot steps behind me to see my mom standing leaning against a wall. She was mind communicating with him and my mom always won.

My watched my dad's face contort into all different expressions, mainly him rolling his eyes and they continued to argue for about 5 minutes.

He finally turned to face me and rolled his eyes, but I knew there would be stipulations to him letting me leave.

"Fine. You can go, as long as you take some of my men with you." He grumbled a little, clearly not happy that he was letting me leave.

I wanted to roll my eyes back at him, but I instead gave him a small smile. I hugged both my parents before I went out the front to meet the wolves who would be accompanying me to Dark Apollo Territory.

After running for hours, we all made it to my territory. When cross the boundary line, we found wolves waiting for us at the border.

I could feel my face become flush as blood rushed to my face, my mouth went dry and my face contorted with hatred; my eyes going into slits as I glared at her from a distance.

I stood there staring at her, her red hair laid down onto her shoulders, her bright blue eyes staring right back at me as a familiar smirk echoed over her face reminding me of the time she greeted me at my front door only months ago.

"Mellissa," I snarled, as a threatening growl emitted deep within my throat.

I was uncontrollable. Within seconds I shifted, my clothes shredding into pieces as I went straight for her jugular vein.

But out of nowhere Blaine suddenly appeared and shoved Melissa out of the way, my teeth sinking into his arm as he swiftly pulled his arm up so that I missed my aim at catching Melissa.

A harsh growl emitted from deep within his throat, warning me to let go. His eyes afire with fury as he stared down at me.

I felt my blood boil as I stayed there for a little longer, only to purposely put more pressure on my jaw, biting him harder before I finally let go. Blaine's glare at me deepened as he knew my wolf was testing him, trying to provoke him like he continuously did to me.
