The days went pretty quickly and finally the day of the battle arrived. Everyone was anxious to say the least. Cassidy had cast a spell on the meeting house for protection of the mates and the parents of the people fighting. As planned the pack will meet Vincent’s party at the cabin where they found the note before of their demand. Cassidy had done her magic and hidden the mating mark on mine and Steven’s neck. The only problem, Asher had ran away and not even his parents know where he is. So we are a party of total fifteen people including the Knights, the pack, Ryder, Austin, Steven, Cassidy, mom and Grayson. We have no idea how many people they have. We are hoping they won’t have a witch on their side.
Cassidy is planning on trapping them in a force field so they won’t be able to escape and we will try to kill them all but the problem is we will be trapped in the force field as well except mom, me and Ryder but we are thinking a way out of that too. Xander is still stuck in the clearing. He was really mad when he couldn’t fight by his father’s side. Ryder is our hidden weapon. We are hoping Vincent doesn’t know about spirit wolves. According to mom, he doesn’t. I just hope everyone gets out of this alive. I don’t want anyone to die for me.
We are waiting for them at the clearing near the cabin. The exact same clearing I met the spirit wolf pack for the first time. The guys are surrounding me from all sides. Leo is standing in the front with Ryan and Stan a little behind him and Caleb, Carter and Mathew are standing behind me with Mathew a little behind in the center, forming a circle. The others are five miles south to the river concealed by Cassidy’s spell, ready for the attack. Ryder will act as our connection.
At exact midnight we heard movements in the woods. A tall blonde guy with bright red eyes stepped out of the trees smirking like the arrogant bitch he is. About fifty vampires were visibly lurking in the trees. We are heavily out numbered. More than three to one. I have never fought vampires before but I think I will manage.
“So where is my price? My precious little mate?” he asked arrogantly with a heavy Russian accent.
“I am not your mate.” I spat from behind Leo.
“Oh darling you will be. Now why don’t you show yourself to your new groom.” He said amused.
I stepped out and stood beside Leo. I can feel Steven’s agitation from the bond. There was also an undertone of fear.
“Ah! Aren’t you a beauty? I will really enjoy bedding you my love.” He said looking me up and down.
His eyes made my skin crawl in disgust. I wanted to growl at him but I stopped myself. Don’t want him to know I can shift, do we now? He must think I am defenseless.
“Start the spell.” I told Ryder in the mind link.
He will convey the message. I felt the vibrations of the magic. I knew the others didn’t. They can’t feel it yet.
“Now now honey. Don’t be like that. The spell won’t work. You see we have a witch of our own.” He said smirking deviously. “We came prepared you see. After all you are a very priced possession.”
Shit! Well we have already thought of this scenario.
“Plan B.” I said in the mind link.
“I didn’t think you will use your brain.” I said smiling at him. “We were hoping you didn’t have any.”
I know riling him on is not a good thing but we need time. He just smirked at me.
“How about you call the rest of your party so I can kill them at once?” I so want wipe the smirk off of his face. “My warlock is apparently pretty good.”
“Sure.” I said showing a little fake sacred look.
