Her Hidden Crowns (Suzanne and Austin) novel Chapter 201

Henry was overcome with frustration. When he took out his phone and saw that it was a call from Frankie, the anger on his face instantly subsided, replaced by a fawning smile.

He quickly answered the call. "Hello, Mr. Lloyd."

In a fit of rage, Frankie grabbed the cup beside him and smashed it onto the floor. The loud, sharp sound of glass shattering rang out, followed by an angry curse that instantly reached Henry's ears.

Frankie snarled, "Henry, you've really got some nerve to try and play me!"

The sudden accusation caught Henry off guard. He glanced at Mandy and Seline, confusion evident in his voice as he asked, "Mr. Lloyd, how would I dare to scheme against you? There must be some misunderstanding."

They had gone over everything on the phone not too long ago, so why was Frankie now saying he had tried to set him up?

Mandy and Seline both heard the entire conversation, and they exchanged puzzled looks.

Henry's response only fueled Frankie's rage. He bellowed, "Misunderstanding? Like hell it is, you bastard! I could wipe you and your damned family out in an instant! I showed you some respect, and you dared to lay a hand on my son?"

Frankie was on the verge of exploding with rage. He had never expected Henry to be in league with Suzanne, and they even went so far as to beat his son up to that extent.

It looked like the Yates family had known about that plot of land all along!

Henry was completely stunned. "Mr. Lloyd—"

Frankie gritted his teeth in fury and yelled, "Let's see just how tough your family really is!"

Surprise was written all over Henry's face. Todd had been attacked? He scrambled to explain, "Mr. Lloyd, this is a misunderstanding! I never touched Todd!"

He had avoided Todd at all costs, so why would he go looking for trouble? After the last severe beating, wouldn't provoking him again be suicide?

Frankie let out a cold laugh, his eyes flashing with menace. He snarled. "You didn't touch him? Suzanne beat my son half to death! Are you saying my son was imagining things?"
