Her Hidden Crowns (Suzanne and Austin) novel Chapter 202

But in reality, Yates Corporation was backed by Frost Corporation.

Henry scoffed. Did the Lloyd family really think they could bring his company down? It was pure wishful thinking.

Mandy and Seline weren't aware of this, but hearing Henry's reassurance put them both at ease. As long as the company was safe, that was all that mattered.

Mandy nodded and said, "That's good to hear. But Suzanne has really gone too far this time."

Seline quickly echoed, "That's right! She messed up the deal with the Alvarez family, and now…"

She trailed off, but her words had already reignited Henry's anger.

Henry's expression darkened, and he snarled. "That wretched girl!"

He wasn't going to let Suzanne get away with this!

Two hours later at Starview Villa, Suzanne had freshened up and changed into a loose, light green silk nightgown. She sat at the small wooden table in the middle of the room and began trimming the flower stems.

The flowers in the vase had already withered. Earlier, after beating Todd up and walking out of the alley, she happened to come across a flower vendor. Seeing the flowers in full bloom, she bought a large bouquet.

A gentle breeze drifted in, stirring the long strands of hair at Suzanne's chest. The scene was one of serenity and comfort.

Just then, her phone rang. Suzanne glanced at the screen and was slightly surprised to see it was Austin calling. She answered the video call immediately.

"Did he hurt you?" Austin's deep, cool gaze was locked on the screen, scanning her for any signs of injury.

There was a flicker of surprise in Suzanne's expression. So, he already knew.

With a smile, she shook her head and tucked a pink bellflower into the vase. She replied nonchalantly, "It was just a few thugs. They didn't pose a threat to me."
