Austin's gaze instantly turned dark and intense. Suzanne had quickly covered his eyes the last time her towel slipped. But this time, there was nothing to block his view.
Suzanne panicked, quickly grabbing her nightgown and pulling it back on. Her face burned with embarrassment as waves of heat rushed over her. She didn't even need to look in a mirror to know she was blushing furiously.
Frustration welled up in her. Why did this keep happening?
Austin must have seen everything!
She instinctively looked at her phone, only to see him watching her with a faint smile. He was clearly amused by her flustered state.
Suzanne's face turned an even deeper shade of red!
She glared at him and yelled with mock anger, "Stop smiling!"
Austin's smile widened as he leaned slightly closer to the screen. In a low voice, he said, "Nice nightgown. I'll get you a few more next time."
Suzanne felt a rush of blood to her head.
Was Austin teasing her?
She quickly turned away and avoided his gaze, saying, "I'll hang up now. I'm going to bed."
With her face still flushed from embarrassment, Suzanne ended the call before Austin could respond.
The next moment, his smile faded, and his expression turned icy. He had a score to settle with the Lloyd family.
Suzanne gathered the fallen leaves from the table and walked toward the bathroom. She splashed cold water on her face to cool the heat rising in her cheeks.
Her gaze fell on the nightgown she was wearing, and she muttered in embarrassment, "I can't wear this again."
She couldn't let something this awkward happen ever again. Just thinking about that scene made her skin crawl.
After tidying up, Suzanne finally lay down.
