Henry buried his anger and resentment, turning to Augustus with a troubled look. He said, "Mr. Frost, Suzanne lacks experience in this field. Even if she wants to lead the design department, she should at least study for a few years to gain everyone's confidence."
During those years, he would make sure to get his hands on Suzanne's shares. By then, neither the Frost family nor Suzanne would have the final say.
Henry's mind was already working hard and calculating his next move.
George glanced at Suzanne, who had remained silent the entire time. He frowned slightly before shifting his attention back to Augustus.
He suggested, "She can stay in the company, but not as the manager of the design department. She should start from the bottom. If she truly has the ability, I won't object to her leading the design department."
A wealthy young woman like her, who only ever indulged in the comforts of luxury, wouldn't possibly be willing to start from the bottom. This was especially true if she was demanding a managerial position right away.
George was sure she would refuse.
After hearing his words, the others exchanged glances before nodding in agreement. One of the shareholders said, "Even with the Frost family's support, it simply isn't a viable option."
Another agreed, "Starting from the bottom is the most reasonable option."
"Yes, that would be fair to everyone," another chimed in.
If Suzanne had the ability, she could prove it. If not, she had no place here. Most of them looked at Suzanne with doubt in their eyes.
Henry felt relieved. It was practically guaranteed now that Suzanne wouldn't be able to join the company. There was no way she would agree to start from the bottom.
Augustus' expression darkened with anger. This group of old fools was determined to keep Suzanne from taking the position.
Just as he was about to go all out against the shareholders, Suzanne took a step forward. All eyes turned to her, and they heard her say calmly, "That's fine. I'll start from the bottom."
Her words made everyone freeze. Henry was even more shocked, and he momentarily forgot to keep up his act.
Augustus frowned in disapproval and said softly, "Suzanne—"
