Henry smirked in disdain. "Hey you, don't get cocky."
In this casino, he had always been invincible. No matter how arrogant his opponents were, they all ended up losing to him.
Ambrose chewing gum lazily, rolled his eyes at Henry without the slightest respect, and walked straight toward the gambling table.
Henry's temper flared instantly. His fingers clenched into a fist, cracking audibly. Tonight, he was going to make this brat pay for his arrogance!
Ambrose sat down with his arms crossed and feet propped up on the table, his posture oozing with contempt. "What's the holdup, old man? Scared you'll lose to me?"
Henry's expression darkened with anger. "Just don't start crying when you lose."
Shoving Cecilia aside, he sat down across from Ambrose, his sharp gaze locking on him like a hunter eyeing his prey.
Atticus shot a subtle glance at Cecilia, who immediately caught on and stepped forward with a polished smile. "Tonight's game is between Mr. Lancaster and Mr. Yates. Let the match begin."
All eyes turned to her as she spoke.
As one of the most experienced dealers in the casino, Cecilia handled the cards with an effortless elegance, her movements swift and precise.
Henry and Ambrose glared at each other, their hostility palpable as if they were ready to tear each other apart.
For the first round, Henry held a straight flush. Unsurprisingly, Ambrose lost.
When Ambrose saw Henry's hand, he froze, momentarily stunned. Then, his expression twisted in frustration. He pushed his feet off the table, rolled up his sleeves, and growled. "Again! No way I'm losing twice."
His eyes burned with an intense fury.
Henry, grinning smugly, leaned back in his chair, his fingers tapping lightly on the growing pile of chips. "Dude, you're out of your league."
Over the past two years, he had faced plenty of reckless rich kids. They were all new money and desperate to prove themselves. In the end, they all lost.
Tonight, he would put this one in his place too.
Ambrose sneered, his voice sharp, "Don't celebrate too early."
