Henry's expression darkened instantly. There was a limit to what he could tolerate.
He wasn't about to let this brat slide for ridiculing him.
With a cold snort, he waved at Atticus and ordered, "This is a check for six million dollars. Get me my chips."
Atticus' eyes lit up. Nodding eagerly, he responded, "Right away, Mr. Yates."
Ambrose chewed his gum, the corners of his lips curling into a smirk. "Old man, did you just cash out your entire pension? If you're broke, I'd advise you to sit this one out. You can't afford to play with me."
Leaning back in his chair, he snapped his fingers. Immediately, a gorgeous woman appeared from behind, stepping up to massage his shoulders.
Henry's forehead bulged with veins as his glare sharpened. "Dude, don't get too cocky! You won't even know how you lost by the time I'm done with you."
All these years in the casino, no one had dared to provoke him like this. This brat had no idea what he was getting into!
Ambrose shrugged nonchalantly. "Oh, I'm so scared!" His tone was dripping with mockery, pushing Henry's patience to its limit.
Henry couldn't stand it anymore. He was going to crush this arrogant punk right here and now. "Start now!" he barked.
Cecilia instinctively glanced at Atticus, who gave her a subtle nod.
Understanding instantly, she put on a professional smile and began shuffling the deck. Her hands moved swiftly, the cards a blur as they slipped between her fingers.
Henry always preferred having Cecilia deal for him—not just because she was easy on the eyes but because her card-dealing skills were impeccable. Under her hands, he had won plenty of money.
Ambrose sat there, watching Henry with an unyielding stare. The tension between them was palpable.
Cecilia dealt the cards.
Despite all his years in the casino, Henry had never gambled this big before. His expression remained composed, but his fingers trembled slightly as he picked up his hand. Even Atticus noticed his unease.
Henry slowly lifted the corner of the first card—a spade.
Then, the second and the third—all spades.
Relief washed over him, and he straightened up in his chair.
Without hesitation, he pushed all the chips Atticus had just brought him onto the table. His expression was arrogant as he declared, "I'm all in."
His bold move drew the attention of the entire room.
