Her Hidden Crowns (Suzanne and Austin) novel Chapter 263

Everyone kept silent as they lowered their heads, pretending that they were occupied with their own matters and hadn't heard what was said.

Unable to get over the shame and anger within her, Yana pointed her finger at Suzanne. Through gritted teeth, she threatened, "Don't get too cocky, Suzanne. Alan will never fall for a woman like you!"

Sitting with her legs crossed, Suzanne leaned back on the couch casually. She sneered and said in a cold voice, "Whatever."

She wasn't interested in Alan anyway. So, what did it have to do with her if Alan wasn't interested in Yana?

Moreover, she couldn't be bothered to continue engaging in this argument with Yana. The more she argued, the more riled up Yana became.

Yana was livid with rage. What was with Suzanne's attitude? What was she trying to say?

She was infuriated.

Glaring fiercely at Suzanne, she yelled, "Suzanne, how could you be so barbaric? Aren't you ashamed of being a mistress?"

Roselynn stepped out in front of Yana immediately. She rolled her sleeves up, preparing herself to get into a fight. "Look who's talking! Who are you calling a mistress? Shall I break your jaw?"

Not only was she capable of arguing, but she was even better at fighting. She had long been tempted to beat Yana up.

How could Yana insult Suzanne like that?

The two women were on the verge of breaking into a fight.

Staring at Roselynn's clenched fists, Yana gulped in fear and took a step back.

Seeing as Roselynn was so close to punching Yana in the face, Suzanne uttered in a calm voice, "Don't do it, Roselynn."

Somewhat reluctantly, Roselynn lowered her hand. She was being too rash earlier. If she had hit Yana, Suzanne would've ended up being in the wrong.

The fear within Yana vanished instantly. She scoffed. "Aren't you gonna hit me? Quit barking."

At this moment, the expressions on the two receptionists' faces turned grim when they heard from the CEO's office. They put aside everything they were doing and walked toward Suzanne, drawing perplexed gazes from the people around them.

A receptionist stopped before Yana and tugged at her arm. Cautiously, the receptionist said, "Ms. Walker, this woman is Mr. Alvarez's respected guest. They're not acquainted in that way."
