There was too little time.
John pulled his phone out and went straight to Google. His eyes lit up as he glanced toward Marsha and exclaimed, "How about Eva Quentin?"
She was a top beauty who had an appearance that was both pure and alluring at the same time.
Marsha rolled her eyes at John. "You're just grabbing at straws now, aren't you? How could we work with someone like Eva? If anything were to happen, my show wouldn't be able to be broadcast at all."
Were they simply choosing an actress now? No. They needed to consider the actress' moral conduct too.
As for Eva, she had committed her fair share of wrongs.
Recently, many celebrities were arrested and canceled. As a result, many shows of good quality ended up being shelved. Thus, they had to learn from these examples.
John slumped onto the couch. Looking completely hopeless, he put his hand to his forehead and asked, "What should we do now?"
There were so many people waiting on them. Giving up on the search wasn't an option.
Marsha frowned. "We keep looking. I'm sure we'll be able to find someone within ten days."
She wasn't going to give up as long as they hadn't found anyone suitable. This was such a good script. They couldn't ruin it just because they couldn't find an actress for the second female lead.
Marsha had high expectations about every aspect of her work. She would rather not proceed with the show if it didn't meet her expectations.
This was also the reason why every single one of her works became great successes once they were released. This was her attitude toward her work.
To John, this felt like an impossible mission.
As they both sat on the couches and looked at the sunset out the floor-to-ceiling windows, they were still unable to come up with a solution. Marsha had rejected almost all the female celebrities in the circle.
John leaped to his feet. He couldn't take being tormented like this anymore. Letting out a heavy sigh, he said, "I'm gonna go get some fresh air. See ya."
Failing to select someone to be the second female lead felt like he was falling into depression. When would they be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel? This was torture.
