Chapter 56
Suzanne frowned slightly. After a moment, she looked up at Shane and said, “You can leave first.
Shane looked at her with concern flashing in his eyes. Just as he was about to object, Suzanne said again, “Don’t worry. I know what I’m doing.”
He gave Suzanne a deep look. Knowing her way of handling things, he didn’t say anything more. He simply nodded in response. “Alright.”
As Shane stepped out of the room, Marvin and Suzy rushed toward him. Both were visibly anxious “Mr. Doyle, what’s happening inside?”
Marvin’s eyes flickered toward the closed door, his worry ev
Prident
“I’m not sure yet,” Shane replied.
At his words, Marvin and Suzy exchanged a silent look. Her grip on his arm tightened
Inside the room, Suzanne picked up a stool from a comer and set it beside the bed.
Rodney couldn’t make sense of Suzanne’s actions,
She sat calmly in front of him, scrolling through the news on her phone in silence
Although Rodney couldn’t move his body, his senses were sharp, so he was fully aware of everything Suzanne was doing. What was this woman trying to do?
Irritation bubbles inside him. He wanted to lash out, but his immobilized state left him with outlet. The helplessness graved at him.
Gradually, Rodney began to notice something was wrong with his body. It inched. A relentless, unbearable itch was spreading everywhere.
He struggled to break free from the sulfocating sensation. Yet it was all in vain.
He glared daggers at Suzanne, “Let me go, bitch!””
Suzanne, unfazed, continued scrolling through her phone.
By the time 20 minutes had gone by, Rodney was overwhelmed by the intense discomfort coursing through his body. The suffocating itch, paired with the helplessness of being unable to resolve it, completely drained him of the strength to struggle.
Rodney opened his mouth to reply, but he was too weak to for words
The moment she said that, Rodney frantically blinked as if afraid that any delay might make her change her mind.
She stepped forward and withdrew the silver needle on Rochey’s acupoint. Instantly, his body slumped as it all strength had been drained from it. He collapsed weakly onto the bed.
