I
Queen Asalea was able to return to the Glodeous Kingdom safe and sound. She went directly to their bedroom. She was surprised to see King Timodore lying on the bed, waiting for her.
“Where have you been?” he asked without blinking an eye.
“I visited the Knostican Kingdom. I found it still fine. I missed that place.” She said while taking a seat at the center edge of the bed.
“I see. You did not even tell me that you were going out of the palace,” he retorted while placing his two hands underneath his head.
“I’m sorry. I guessed you were in your sacred room when I left because I have not seen you around.” Feeling tired, she laid her back beside her husband.
They both became silent for a while. Queen Asalea moved on her left side facing King Timodore now. She moved her right hand towards her husband’s face and gently caressed it.
King Timodore moved his head on his right side and looked at his wife, trying to decipher what she is up to. His eyes were intense while that of Queen Asalea were puppy of puppy look.
They just looked at each other; both could not mutter any word.
It was Queen Asalea who opened her mouth first. “I love you and I’m sorry again,” she muttered.
King Timodore did not reply. He wanted to kiss her and make love to her but he decided to do otherwise. They still have unsettled issues to deal with.
He stood up. “Let us have dinner, just in case you have not eaten yet,” he said while offering his hand to her.
She nodded and reached for his offered hand.
Queen Asalea did not remove her hold on King Timodore’s hand even if one time he tried. They walked hand and hand going to the dining area.
King Timodore restrained himself from picking up his wife and brings her back to their bedroom. He tightened his hold to her hand instead.
Queen Asalea felt such tight hold to her hand of King Timodore. She looked up at him and smiled at him as if saying, “I like what you did.”
