Chapter 29 Who is Sulie?

Dreckos furrowed his brows as she saw Sulie went out of Toremo’s room. “What the hell was she doing in Toremo’s room?” he thought. He knows very well that Sulie came to the Palace for King Timodore and it was even Toremo who brought her here and introduced her to the King of Glodeous.

“Hmm, there is something fishy going on between this Sulie and Toremo.” Dreckos whispered as he hides himself beside the corner wall not to be seen by Sulie, who is now walking slowly with a flustered face. She seems to be not happy at all. Dreckos almost laughed when he thought that Toremo either did not satisfy her in bed or Sulie has been rejected by Toremo. In any case, he needs to dig out something to protect the King from these two.

Dreckos decided to keep his mouth shut while doing some investigations and kept on having his keen observations on Sulie and Toremo. If these two are doing something beyond the Kingdom’s protocol and he has evidence to that, it would be the time that he should tell King Timodore. Meanwhile, he should zeal his mouth first; otherwise, he might only be called a gossiper.

Sulie never noticed Dreckos as she passed him by. Her mind has been preoccupied with Toremo’s words to her a while ago. She just thought she found his man but she was wrong. She was somehow being rejected again, this time not by King Timodore but by Toremo. “How could I be so foolish? I gave myself to Toremo, who would only use me to advance his selfish desires.” She murmured to herself while trying to walk faster. She wanted to reach her bedroom soonest. Her bedroom now would be her haven to pour out her tears, because deep inside her soul is dying.

As Sulie reached her room, she hastily jumped on her bed, curled, and let her tears flow freely. Did she want to cry now, why on earth no man could ever love her? Even his Dad despised her. His Dad believed that because of her, his wife, Sulie’s Mom died.

Sulie suddenly brought back her memories to her senses. She was thirteen years old at that time, bubbly, and everyone said she was beautiful. But one day, while she and her Mom were walking back to their home from the market, a man from a group of three vampires from a different Kingdom tried to snatch her; but her mother never let go of her and fight him back. She snatched her back from him and ran fast to safe keep her. She then put her down and told her to run as fast as she could while she waited for the three vampires and fight with them so that her teen daughter could escape. Sulie was able to escape but her Mom was found dead the next day.

As Sulie remembered her Mom, more tears trickled down her face. Her Mom’s death was the start of her agony from his Dad who always finds fault in her and made her life miserable. When she told him that a friend of hers wanted her to meet the King of Glodeous, he just smirked and motioned for her to go, without care.
