I looked into the mirror hung on the bathroom wall, my eyes were swollen with bags underneath, one could easily tell that I had not slept well yesterday. I looked terrible. I took my toothbrush to brush my teeth then washed my face with water as I was looking really bad.
I walked out of the bedroom then I noticed the different designer bagscon the bed and even on the floor, I moved closer to it as I checked each box one after the other, some had clothes in them, some shoes, bags and some jewellery. They all seemed very expensive and I could guess it was Ridwan that had gotten it all for me.
I went down the stairs to get food to eat because I was starving, all the tears I had cried the night before had drained all my energy and I just needed to refill and get fed.
"Good morning ma" Ayo said as she got out from the kitchen meeting me by the door.
"How are you, when did Ridwan leave the house" I asked.
"I am good ma, This morning" She answered
"Did you see all the gifts he ordered for you" Ayo enthusiastically asked.
"Yes, I did" I said as I walked into the kitchen.
"Did you make anything " I asked
"There is food, I made Jollof rice and chicken"Ayo said
"Please can you help me get it to the dining, I need to do something" I said then went up to pick my phone, I had forgotten it upstairs.
"Alright ma"
The rest of the day went by like the rest of my days in the house, tiring, stressful and very unproductive. I sat by the desk in the room as I picked up a new novel Kina had brought for me from lagos when she visited. I had been too engrossed in the book and had not noticed when Ridwan walked in the room.
