I opened my eye slowly and I looked to my side on the bed expecting not to see Ridwan there and surprisingly he still was sleeping peacefully and then I just watched him for a minute smiling as he slept. I loved watching him sleep, I know it seems weird but really it's always fun for me. I loved waking up to his beautiful face and it always made me so happy when I woke up before him to watch him sleep. I decided to make breakfast this morning as I was overly excited. I got out of bed and as I was about to leave the room, my phone started ringing where I had kept it on the table. I reached out for it and when I checked the caller I.d I realized it was Hawa. Then I figured she had also called me late last night but I had missed her call.
"Hey dear"
"How are you doing" I asked "I am sorry I missed your call" I added
"Ohh, no problem. I am good. I just wanted to make sure you were fine. I figured you had not gotten back to me about the result and all" Hawa explained.
"So, when will you be starting work" She asked and I just stayed silent for sometime. I didn't know what yo tell Hawa, she had worked so much on my application and was very excited for me to start but then again I really didn't want to start a fight with Ridwan again especially since we just reconciled. Maybe I was the one pushing too hard, maybe if I listened to him more, we wouldn't fight so much" I thought.
"Are you still on the call" Hawa asked
"Yeah, it's just that I realized that since I just got to Abuja and all and I just recently got married. Maybe I need more time with my marriage before work comes in the picture. You know how much working in the hospital can demand from someone" I explained not knowing what else to say.
