We deemed the light and made it seem like we were in a cinema as we both sat on the big sofa. We had a bowl of popcorn in front of us even though we had just eaten. We had drinks too and Ridwan had asked if I wanted pizza or anyother thing.
I rested my head on Ridwan's shoulder as he pulled my closer to himself while I scrolled through movies to see which one to watch. I clicked on one I felt we might both enjoy. It was a thriller.
When the movie was about to start I decided to tell Ridwan about Hawa's birthday dinner tomorrow and even though I wasn't sure how he was going to react to it and I really didn't want to spoil the happy mood we were in but I still had to ask anyways.
"So, You know Hawa right" I asked
"Yeah, your very close friend in uni, how is she by the way"
"She is okay, I told you she also moved to Abuja about the same time I got her too" I said
"Yeah, I remember you telling me that" he said as he focused on the screen as the movie was just starting.
"Okay" Ridwan said
I focused back on the screen to concentrate on my movie back. I was actually really excited for Hawa's birthday and if not too excited. I had not really gone our in a while, I missed lunch dates, the cinemas and visiting every new hangout spot even if it was just to take a picture. I did that a lot in Lagos while I was in uni with my friends especially Hawa and I always looked forward to it but now so many things had changed about me or probably because I just had to conform to everything because I probably didn't have a choice.
I didn't even know when the movie ended because I had slept off on Ridwan's legs while watching it. I really never watch a whole movie in one sitting but then Ridwan would have to explain to me what had happened after I slept. I knew Ridwan had carried me up into the room because I had woken up there. it was really nice having someone look out for you, I loved Ridwan and my Love for him grew even more with each passing day.
