I stared into the mirror hung on the toilet wall as I brushed my teeth, I wasn't feeling so good this morning but I felt it was probably the stress I had gone through the day before. I felt nauseated and a slight headache too. I thought about the good news I had received yesterday.
"Are you really serious about the wedding" I asked excitedly.
"Yes I am!! Would I lie about a thing like that" Salma said.
"So, the wedding is this weekend" Salma informed
"Wow,that's early. That's in like 3 days from now "
"Yeah, there was no point in waiting and since it's just going to be a small garden wedding with close families. We decided to make it earlier" Salma explained.
"That's great, is there anything I can help with though. I would love to help" I said
"You can, there is a lot to do. I won't refuse free help" Salma said
"Alright then, I should be there tomorrow" I informed before she ended the call.
I opened my wardrobe to pick out a cloth to wear to Salma's place. After several minutes of picking out different clothes. I finally made a decision. I picked out a gown and wore it.
I got down the stairs and was about to open the door to leave the house when I realized it was locked. It was never locked especially since people were inside. I realized it was locked with a key.
"Ayo" I called out
"Why would you lock me inside the house, what kind of behaviour is this. Like I am a prisoner, in my own home" I said angrily.
"Yeah, I locked the door and no one is saying you are a prisoner. Somethings just have to be done to make sure everyone is safe and okay" he explained.
"What does that even mean, there is no excuse for this" I said
"You really should just sit at home and rest. No need going about outside"
"And what did you do to my phone and where is my sim card" I asked
"I changed your sim card and since the important numbers you need are there, you really don't need any other number" he said and I became even more furious. What the hell was going on. I really couldn't wrap my head around it all and before Ridwan could say another word, I ended the call.
