Calista closed her eyes for a moment. Since Jarrett couldn’t help her, then she was going to be in danger today.
When she saw the red marks on Calista’s neck, Yelena had to suppress the glee in her heart and she coldly remarked, “Bet you didn’t expect this right? The next head of the Wolford family is in love with Quincy! You want to fight with us all by yourself? You’re really not afraid to die, huh!
But I’ve grossly underestimated you – I didn’t think Jonathan would have been bribed by you! No wonder Quincy and I fell into your trap. But who cares? Jonathan’s parents are now in our hands, who do you think he will listen to now? Just wait to go to jail, you little sl*t!”
After saying this, she tried to push Calista but Calista caught her hand.
Sterling was in love with Quincy? So Yelena was still afraid of others knowing about her ugly past!
The look in her eyes was very scary, chilling to the bone. But she was smiling and looked very creepy.
“You’re so sure I can’t turn the tables on you? So sure I’ll go to jail?”
Yelena wanted to argue back, but her mouth was only able to open and couldn’t say anything under this invisible pressure from Calista.
Calista looked behind her sullenly, and Sterling had just come out and was smiling as he looked at her. His expression was like he was watching an ant, his face confident of winning and nothing in the world bothered him.
“What are the Wolfords anyway? It’s still too early to say who will have the last laugh!”
Then Calista left for the interrogation room.
The Staffords had not formally pressed charges against Jonathan, and the police were only detaining him at the moment. So since Benedict wanted to see him, they did not stop him.
When Calista went in, she was met with a metal window grill. Later Jonathan would come in and sit on the other side of the grill.
In this short span of time, Calista had thought of the worst possible scenario. Even if Jonathan accused her and blamed everything on her, they still had to create evidence of her buying the drugs and clean up all the evidence, and she didn’t believe there was no other loophole she could use.
If nothing else worked, she still had the recording of Jonathan and Yelena in bed, and since Sterling didn’t mention anything about that earlier, Jonathan obviously hadn’t told him about it, so she could still count on that.
When she thought about Sterling’s disgusting face, Calista felt extremely uncomfortable.
In her previous life, it was Sterling who got his hands on the K Virus and gave it to Quincy, and that was how she got infected with that incurable disease. She had originally intended to wait until she had become stronger before confronting him, but since he had come knocking on her door first, then she wasn’t going to hold back.
Benedict glanced at Calista with mixed feelings. Then Wyatt walked in, obviously intending to listen by the side, while Quincy immediately put on her most pitiful expression when she saw him.
“Wyatt….”
Quincy cried and tried to hug Wyatt, but the moment he saw her, he thought of that scene of Quincy in the bathroom with Jonathan, and even though he knew she had been drugged, he still felt very uncomfortable.
When she got pushed away by Wyatt, Quincy felt hate rise up in her and she looked at Wyatt with tears in her eyes, her lips trembling as she said, “Wyatt, do you hate me now? I didn’t mean to do this, it’s all my sister’s fault!”
Wyatt looked at Calista and asked coldly, “Was it really you?”
