Chapter 24 

As Janice listened, her heart was blooming with joy. 

“Alright, Ill head back now,” Ewan said, planting a kiss on her check. 

Janice caressed her belly and walked to the door to see him off, tender and affectionate like a wife. 

Once Ewan had left, Janice closed the door, and the affectionate smile vanished instantly, replaced by a greedy and harsh expression. 

She picked up her phone and dialed the obstetrician’s number. “Doctor, when can I schedule a cesarean section for my child? 

“Miss Gibbs, I’ve already told you for the health of the child, we need to wait at least seven months. Otherwise, the child may not develop properly. leading to poor health and even life–threatening risks, the doctor explained. 

Janice but had no choice but to agree. “Fine, schedule the C–section for when I’m seven months along. Make sure the surgery is booked” 

What the Berry family wanted was a healthy son; otherwise, everything would be for night. 

She needed the child to be born as quickly as possible; it was her ticket into the Berry family. 

Born into an ordinary family, she had become a model thanks to her exceptional looks, but without money or connections, she had to accept the unspoken rules to secure resources in this industry.

After school, she arrived at the back gate of the school, where Lorrand was already waiting in his car. 

He was now working with Charles, having performed several heart surgeries and earning a decent income.

Lea got into the car, heading to the hospital.

After a moment’s pause, Lea stepped into the hospital took the elevator, and headed toward the operating room.
