Her Second Marriage, Being Mr. Moore's New Wife novel Chapter 629

Unexpectedly, Manfred stopped the car and got out of the car with her.

Alice was surprised, "Mr. Manfred?"

"I'll take you upstairs." Manfred smiled. "You are in such a bad state of mind, I am worried about you."

Alice, "..."

She reached out and pinched her cheek. Was she in such a bad state of mind?

This unconscious movement fell into the eyes of Manfred, and he felt she extremely charming. She obviously was already a mother, but her behavior sometimes was unconscious.

Manfred wanted to stretch out his hand again, but on second thought, he stopped.

"Come on, I'll walk you upstairs."

He was about to take a step forward, and a figure hurried over.

It was Winnie, she stepped forward to Alice, "Alice, you finally came back, I have something to tell you."

"What is it?

Winnie took a look at Manfred and Alice understood, so she said, "Thank you for your hospitality, Mr. Manfred, I will treat you to dinner one day."

Winnie was there, so Manfred could not insist to sending her upstairs. He could only smile and say, "OK, I will keep that in mind. How about I pick you up tonight? And we can go and pick up Jack?"

Hearing that, Alice was surprised, "No, today..."

"It's a deal. I'll pick you up after work."

However, Manfred did not give her the opportunity to refuse, and then left after saying that.

After he left, Alice looked at he got into the car and asked Winnie, "What do you want to tell me?"

Winnie shook her head, "It is not me, it is Kennedy."

"What?"

Winnie coughed, looked at the car leaving, and then she awkwardly asked, "Alice, what kind of relationship do you have with him? Is he after you?"

Hearing that, Alice wrinkled her eyebrow. Before she could answer, Winnie said, "Never mind, it is not important. Hurry upstairs, Mr. Kennedy is in your office waiting for you."

Winnie pushed her into the elevator.

"Wait, you mean Kennedy Moore?"

Wasn't he on a business trip? Why was he back all of a sudden? And in her office?

What was he doing here who hadn't said a word for days like he'd disappeared?

Winnie looked at Alice and said, "He has been waiting for you for about an hour."

An hour?

Had he come when she had gone out with Manfred?

"I gotta go!”

After the elevator door opened, Winnie returned to her office. tThe elevator continued to rise after the door was closed.

Out of the elevator, Alice walked toward her office.

It was her office, but Alice felt nervous. Standing at the office door, she did not open the door, but stood there in a daze.

After a long time, Alice finally sighed, and then stretched out her hand to push open the door.

She thought she would see Kennedy sitting on her desk and looking at her sharply, but it was empty.

Alice was stunned and then walked in.
