"I'm not going," Samantha insisted.
"It's not up to you to decide," Leonardo replied.
"I belong to myself. Why wouldn't it be up to me?" She was getting annoyed.
"Samantha, don't forget that you'll marry me sooner or later. You'll have to live with me eventually, so what difference does it make whether it's now or later?" His tone brooked no argument.
"It does make a difference, and I don't feel like going now," Samantha retorted.
Leonardo's lips curved slightly. There was a hint of ruthlessness in his smile as he said, "You don't get to refuse, Samantha."
He even went as far as to forcibly strip her right to say no.
Simon didn't dare to disobey and could only drive toward Sterling Residences, occasionally stealing glances through the rearview mirror. He never expected someone like Leonardo to stoop so low as to practically abduct a woman.
However, he wasn't too worried about Samantha's safety. Leonardo could be crazy at times, but no matter how he lost it, he would never hurt Samantha. That was something Simon was very certain of.
Once they arrived at the underground parking lot of Sterling Residences, Simon parked the car and made a quick exit, bolting like something was hot on his heels.
He didn't want to ruin their time alone.
Leonardo stepped out first. When he turned back, Samantha was still sitting there like a stubborn rock, showing no intention of getting out.
"You're not coming down to take a look?" he asked.
"Didn't I already mention? I'm not coming down," she replied stubbornly.
"Are you getting out on your own, or should I carry you out?" Leonardo shot her a look.
He didn't leave her with an option to refuse.
Samantha chewed on her bottom lip. She thought that if Leonardo actually carried her out of the car, she would be so embarrassed that she would want the ground to swallow her whole.
With no other way out, she went with the better option, mentioning, "I'll get out on my own."
Leonardo reached out to help her, and she deliberately avoided his hand. She intended to get out on her own, but he seized her hand dominantly.
"Okay." Samantha nodded.
Leonardo pressed his fingerprint to the scanner, and the door opened. The interior was brightly lit, exuding luxury and grandeur. The cool-toned décor was simple yet sophisticated.
There was no one inside.
Before Samantha could take a closer look at her surroundings, Leonardo pulled her right toward the innermost bedroom. He pushed the door open, revealing a large bed over six and a half feet wide. It was covered with a dark gray down comforter that looked incredibly soft and comfortable.
Leonardo gestured around, introducing, "This is my bedroom."
"Oh, let's check out the rest of the place," Samantha suggested. Something about the way Leonardo looked at her felt off. Who started a house tour with the bedroom?
She instinctively took a step back, wanting to go elsewhere. But the hand holding hers suddenly tightened and pulled her back.
He closed the door behind her and pressed her against it, pinning one of her hands to the side. They were close—so close that Samantha could clearly feel Leonardo's heavy breathing, and her ears were warm and red from it.
"Do you like it here?" Leonardo asked.
