Hey, My Twins Babies novel Chapter 168

Now he had been used to getting along with the children, so he knew how to get along with them, consciously revealing his love.

"My aunt's score will come out tonight, we are waiting for it!"

Megan said in a bright sweet voice.

"Can you wait till midnight?"

Brian unconsciously raised the corners of his mouth looking at the lovely Megan.

Winnie and Vanessa saw such a scene often, but Rufus was surprised that Brian had such a change.

Since Brian's mother died, he had not seen Brian's smile. He always had a bitter face.

Brian was serious. He brought pressure to others and virtually set up obstacles for himself. Seeing that he smiled, Rufus was more pleased than surprised.

Brian was his child, and he hoped more than anyone else that he could be happy, put aside all the repressed things in his heart and live a free life.

He was changing little by little, and this change was the credit of Winnie and the children. But could he change after their relationship ended?

"Yes, we must be the first time to share the joy of Auntie."

Luke answered positively. He was not sleepy now, so it could be no problem to wait until 12 o'clock.

"Good, let’s wait together."

Brian got up and looked at Vanessa, who was also looking at him, but Vanessa’s expression was different. It seemed that she had something to hide.

"Here you are, Brian."

Vanessa even spoke in a somewhat restrained voice.

"Yes, I know your will have your score today, so I come to wait with you."

Brian stopped smiling, but he was gentle.

"Thank you, Brian!”

Vanessa was usually very lively and talkative, but after knowing Luke was the son of her sister, she did not know what to say.

She was more nervous to see Brian than to wait for her score, for fear she said something wrong and they would accidentally lost Megan and Luke.

"Not at all. Let's wait."

Brian did not think too much, thinking that Vanessa was nervous because of the scores.

Brian sat down, and the two children stuck to him and leaned on him. Winnie was next to him. With them around, he felt at ease.

Brian looked sideways at Winnie, but Winnie had been watching TV and did not look at him. In spite of this, he was at ease at the moment.

"You won’t leave, right, Vanessa?"

Brian asked her. He thought it was too quiet in the living room because there were only two children talking, but the silence seemed to be because of him.

"When the score comes out, I will see which university to apply for. I have to go back to A City to help my aunt take care of the drugstore after the application. And then I come back when school starts."

Vanessa answered carefully, for fear that the question got Luke and Megan involved.

"It will take some time. Sell the drugstore as soon as possible. If you really like the drugstore, you can open a new one here."

Brian wanted them to be together, so they could take care of each other. In doing so, he was relieved.

"Aunt loathes giving up. Never mind, when I go to the university, she will come back."

Vanessa knew what her aunt was thinking and never urged her. She wanted to stay with her aunt like this for the last two months.

"Is that you can't find the right buyer became the money is not enough?"

Rufus asked.

"It is one of the reasons. My aunt was reluctant to give it up."

Winnie answered, because she found Vanessa was nervous.

Winnie continued.

"My aunt went to medical school and became an excellent doctor. Later, she went abroad to provide medical support in some underdeveloped countries in Africa. She has never left the medical profession in her whole life. It is understandable she does not want to give up.”

"I've also thought that if she gets bored at home after she comes over, I'll let her run a little drugstore, as long as her mental world isn't empty."

It was the first time Winnie told so many things about her aunt. She had made a plan and had discussed with her aunt, but her aunt still refused to come back. Winnie knew that she had things reluctant to let go.

It was the first time Brian heard of that Winnie's aunt used to be a doctor, so he unconsciously fixed his eyes on Rufus.

There was a moment of astonishment and meditation of Rufus and then a look of undetectable pain was on his face.

When he saw the melancholy on Rufus's face, Brian's resentment against him burned up again, and the image of his mother dying in front of him also invaded his mind.

Anger and resentment rose up in his mind, but he could not lose temper because Winnie, children and Vanessa were there.
