Hey, My Twins Babies novel Chapter 773

Rufus looked at Stella. He was old now but his daughter still could see that he had something in his mind.

"Yes, I've been thinking about one thing these days."

Rufus did not avoid it, but wanted to tell Stella something.

"Can I help you?"

Seeing that her father was preoccupied, Stella felt distressed. She wanted to take on everything for her father if she could.

"I... I want to find Isobel."

Rufus spoke it out in the end.

These things were going to come out sooner or later, and if he told her not, it would be a buffer against any unexpected damage.

Stella was startled. She looked at her father in surprise, with hatred for the past in her eyes.

She did not expect her father was thinking about Isobel. He mentioned it last time, but she thought it was a small talk, she did not expect he would have this idea.

"Dad...... I don't think it is realistic, Brain and I can't accept it."

Stella rejected. She thought about her feelings and Brian's feelings, but not considered his father's feelings.

"I know you can't accept it, and I've been waiting. But I have been waiting for more than twenty years."

"I'm sorry, Stella. It must have hurt you. But I don't know if I have another 20 years to wait."

Rufus knew Stella would reject, but he had to face it, if he did not tell her in advance, it would be chaos.

Rufus' words like a nail hurt Stella's heart.

Yes, did her father have another twenty years to wait?

Even though she realized she had ignored her father's feelings, she couldn't take it in. She did not speak, but listened quietly to his voice.

"I feel indented to Isobel, and I want to make it up. I have been waiting for you to accept it and then I will compensate her, but you have not accepted it, and I do not seem to be able to wait that long."

"It was my fault that made her miserable, made everyone..."

"Dad, at least you're all alive, but my Mom has passed away."

Stella could not help interrupting her father's words.

In her father's emotional entanglements, she acknowledged that everyone had been hurt. Her father was alive, Isobel certainly was alive, but her mother has left this world.

"Your mother..."

Seeing that Stella looked emotional and got tears in her eyes, Rufus swallowed back his words, and did not want Stella to be sad during her pregnancy.

Things were not as easy as he thought, Stella was supposed to be one who would accept it easily, but since she did not accept it, it would be more difficult for Brain.

Stella went back home in a bad mood.

Joshua found that Stella was wrong when he got home from work, but he did not ask about it until after dinner.

Stella lied in the bedroom, depressed. Joshua was worried, brought a glass of water and put it on the bedside table. Then he sat down beside Stella.

"What is wrong with you? I came home from work to see you in a bad mood."

Joshua asked softly.

"Alas......"

Stella sighed, she had been enduring it for a whole afternoon.

"Did mom and Dad do something to upset you?"

This was the reason that Joshua thought of, so when his parents were around, he did not ask why Stella was unhappy.

"No, what are you thinking? They are good to me, I can't be unhappy."

Stella denied, and she realized that her bad mood had affected her family.

"Then what is it? Is it the child makes you uncomfortable?"

Joshua continued to ask, touching Stella's belly.

"The child is innocent. Don't say that."

"I went to the suburbs at noon and had a conversation with my Dad."

Stella wanted to tell Joshua what happened, so that Joshua could give her advice.

"What happened?"

Joshua asked.

Since he married with Stella, he had never seen Stella speak loudly with her father, or have any disrespectful behavior to her father.

His father-in-law was considerate and magnanimous.

Joshua did not comfort, but support Stella to cry once.

He understood what Stella said, but after all, his mother-in-law died, the living people were the most important.

As kids, Stella and Brian felt it difficult to accept, but they should let it go, or they would be depressed, so would his father-in-law and Isobel.

Joshua let Stella cry for a while, until he felt she stopped, Joshua released her.

"Do you feel better? You can’t do it again, or the child will be depressed too."

Joshua comforted her and then added.

"I'm summing it up, and you think about it."

"The situation in your family now seems to be peaceful, but if there is a fire, it will explode, like hiding a landmine. You live with great care, afraid to disturb the present peace."

"And winwin and I think your peace is false, you do not have peace of mind."

Joshua explained, he wanted to tell Stella in details so that she could understand.

"When Winwin was there, the peace was secure, but when Winwin left, everyone was nervous."

"Honey, do you know what your landmine is?"

Joshua asked Stella as he wiped her tears.

"What is it?"

Stella listened to him carefully, now she had calmed down and thought about it. Just as Joshua said, crying really was the best way to relieve stress.

"It is your Dad had an affair and you Mom died."

Joshua's analysis was correct. Her family was trying their best to hide this matter. They did not dare to mention it, but they would not have peace of mind if it had not been settled.

"No matter who was right or wrong, Your Mom jumped off the building herself, it was not your Dad pushed her. I think there's a reason why I didn't see guilt on Your Dad's face to your Mom all these years. He not an irresponsible man. He is not a man who shirks his responsibilities."

"If it was his fault he would be filled with guilt."

This was Joshua careful observation these years. He believed that his father-in-law had nothing to do with his mother-in-law's death.

Joshua's words made Stella frown.

"You're right. I can't see Dad's guilt to Mom. But I think she left us because she was sad."
