"Good, good."
Thomas was less worried seeing that everything was just fine.
Everyone waited outside, during which several people advised Felix to go home, but he just insisted on staying.
The operation lasted for four hours before the lights in the operating room went out, and then Kevin walked out.
"Don't worry, everyone, the operation was a success."
Kevin's raised his lips with confidence.
"Great, great, thank you so much, Kevin, thank you!"
Stella was excited and kept thanking Kevin, and she was completely relieved to hear that her dad's surgery was successful.
"You are welcome. I'm a doctor, it's my duty."
Kevin did have an accomplished day, devoting almost all of his energy to this surgery and it was successful.
"Thank you."
Stella cried in excitement, and Kevin in turn had to comfort her.
Kevin embraced Stella and lightly patted her back.
"Don't cry, you should be happy. Rufus will be well soon, so you should be happy."
"Ok, I won't cry."
Stella still could not control her tears, but this time she was happy.
"Why isn't he out when the surgery is over?"
Brian asked.
"He has to be observed in the ICU for a while, don’t worry."
Kevin finished speaking and walked directly to Felix.
"Grandpa, go home, I promise Rufus will be fine."
"Good, I am going back."
Hearing Kevin's words with so much confidence, Felix was completely relieved. Saying that he would leave, he turned around with Butler Lowe.
"Where's Vanessa, why isn't Vanessa out yet?"
Rufus had been sent to the intensive care unit, but Vanessa hadn't come out yet, so Winnie was inevitably worried.
"Still in there, she needs to have some rest, for she had given too much blood."
Kevin had already settled Vanessa and gave her some medicine that would help her recover.
"That's good, that's good."
Winnie was worried, but she kept it in her heart.
"Uncle Thomas, Joshua, Stella, you guys go back first, there's no point in waiting here. Come when Rufus comes out of the ICU."
Kevin told everyone to go back because it was pointless to be there. But Vanessa hadn't come out yet, so Winnie and Brian should be there.
"Alright then, I'll go back first. Brian, call me when your dad wakes up."
Thomas wasn't worried anymore and was ready to go home.
"Got it, Uncle Thomas, I'll give you a call."
"Sis, Joshua, you guys go back too, I'll contact you if there is news."
Everyone left, leaving Brian and Winnie waiting for Vanessa.
"Thank Vanessa, let her rest today, I've sent Albert to buy her tonic."
Brian said his thanks and came to Winnie's side.
"What are you doing?"
Seeing that Winnie hadn't responded, Brian came over and asked.
"Send a message to my aunt and tell her the surgery was a success. She's been worrying about it."
Winnie replied.
"Actually, I guess the person I should be most grateful to is your aunt, She has raised two wonderful children, both of whom have contributed tremendously to our family."
"I must thank her when she comes back."
Brian said with excitement, and couldn't wait to meet Vanessa's aunt right away to say thank you.
"Why does my aunt have to see you?"
Winnie suddenly became serious despite Brian's excitement.
"I ...... I thank her. I should be thanking your aunt for you giving birth to my children."
Brian explained, knowing what Winnie's seriousness meant.
"I don't need that, I've already been paid."
It was truth, money transactions would not need thank you.
"What about Vanessa, Vanessa is also doing us a big favor by giving my Dad a blood transfusion, that's why I'm meeting with your aunt, I have to say thank you to her."
Brian felt that this reason was good enough, and Winnie must not refuse.
But Winnie didn't answer anything, but laughed.
"What are you laughing at? Do you agree for me to meet your aunt? You must tell me in advance when your aunt returns, I will prepare and must go to see your aunt in formal wear."
Brian thought Winnie had agreed and couldn't suppress his excitement once more.
"I didn't say yes, and my aunt won't see you. I laughed because you said "Dad" naturally."
Winnie's reply cooled Brian's heart.
"Good, are you more relaxed now? I can't believe how you've insisted on it for over twenty years."
Brian got tired this day and felt Winnie must be more tired than him. She needed to go to bed early, because tomorrow she had to go to hospital and company.
"Ok."
Winnie started eating. Just after taking a bite, her phone rang.
Before she could pick it up, Brian spoke up to stop it.
"Pick it up after you eat, you've been hungry all day."
"It is an old friend of my dad, I have to answer it."
"You eat first, I'll be back soon."
In response to Brian's concern, Winnie did not get used to it. This didn't seem to be his style, not his cold personality.
Winnie still chose to answer the phone first, as the call was from Romeo.
Winnie took her phone and walked out of the dinning room, picking it up as she headed upstairs.
"Winnie is speaking."
Winnie didn't want to pick up the phone in front of Brian, didn't want Brian to know everything about her past. And if Romeo would definitely bring up the previous events.
"Winwin, I have good news."
Romeo's somewhat excited voice came over the phone.
"What good news?"
Winnie could hear from Romeo's voice that it was really good news, so she was expecting.
"It’s about your father's villa."
"Really? What's going on?"
Winnie was instantly excited.
With those words, she walked back to her room and closed the door behind her.
Brian vaguely heard Winnie call Romeo, and it was good news, so it wouldn't affect her mood for dinner.
Winnie's call continued.
"Go ahead, Romeo."
Winnie urged.
"Ok."
"All this time, I have been asking people from the bank. My friend just called me and I heard that the house has been donated to charity. The charity will be auctioning it off soon, and you have a chance to buy it back."
That was what made Romeo so excited.
"Great, finally. Do you know who donated it?"
Winnie was so excited that she was about to shed tears. As long as the charity auctioned it off, she would buy it back no matter how much it cost.
