S31 44. Punishment
Finnic took a deep breath. His eye bags thickened. “I know I was wrong, but I really regret it. Can’t you give me a second chance? We can build everything from scratch.”
“Building a safety net for your nearly destroyed company, you mean?” Sophia laughed lightly. Her head shook. “Sorry, Finnic. I don’t like it. when someone takes advantage of me. You intend to cancel our divorce for the sake of your company, right? You want to take advantage of my family’s wealth and power?”
Finnic was taken aback for a moment. “No, I just want to make amends. All this time, I didn’t treat you properly.”
“If you really love me, then swallow that bitter pill. I no longer have feelings for you. Everything has turned into hatred. The hopes and future that I once wanted to live with you have also been destroyed. The rubble is shattered and nothing remains. There is nothing that
can be saved.”
“You can, Sophia. As long as you are willing to lower your ego a open the door to forgiveness for me, we can save our marriage. can cancel the final trial then start from the beginning. I’m sure
can.”
Finnic’s voice was pitiful and helpless, but Sophia was disgusted to
hear that.
“Didn’t you say it yourself? I’m much better than Kara, and Frank is much better than you. Do you think you’re still worthy of being with me?”
Finnic’s expression froze. After a blink, he whispered, “You think Frank will accept you?”

Sophia was lost for words. She shifted her jaw slightly then let out a quick sigh. “I don’t care whether he has opened his heart to me or not. What is clear is that we are a more suitable match.”
Suddenly, Melanie laughed. She had been listening to the couple’s debate from the start. She was sure they wouldn’t find the end of it if
she didn’t take an action.
“You’re such a mess, Sophia. You married Finnic, wanted my son, and slept with Jeremy. But why do you still hold yourself up so high?”
Getting that information, Finnic’s eyes trembled. His mouth was agape, his face slightly pale.
“You slept with another man?”
Sophia’s breath hitched. Her eyes flickered. “No. I have nothing to do with that man. It’s impossible for me to sleep with him.”
“But Mrs. Harris couldn’t have made that up.” Finnic glanced at Jeremy, asking for an explanation. Jeremy let out a faint sigh.
“It wasn’t intentional. She tried to seduce Frank with drugs, but I fell into her trap.”
Finnic sighed in disbelief. The corners of his lips twitched faintly. You’ve slept with my wife, but you can still relax?”
Frank hurriedly raised his hand, as if to set a boundary. “Sophia admitted that you two were divorced. So, she’s a widow in Jeremy
mind.”
“Even though she’s a virgin, I wouldn’t want to touch her,” Jeremy said, disagreeing with his brother’s defense. “It happened because I was under the influence of drugs. My brain was working out of control. You’ve experienced it, of course you know how it feels.”
“Yeah, just yesterday, I immediately ran to look for Kara. Maybe our

genes are weak against that type of drug,” Frank grumbled, not solving the problem.
Looking up, Finnic exhaled with his hands on his waist. However, the pressure in his chest did not decrease.
“So now, you want another man and have slept with another man.” When he straightened his neck, Finnic’s gaze immediately locked on Sophia. “Don’t you have any feelings for me? You don’t value our
marriage and don’t consider me your husband?”
Sophia pursed her mouth tightly. Her chin wrinkled. She knew her actions were wrong. However, she was too embarrassed to admit it.
“Answer me, Sophia. Do you hate me that much? You don’t even want to sleep with me, but you give up your body to another man?”
Sophia swallowed hard. “Yes, I want our marriage to end immediately. I don’t want to be tied to you anymore, Fin. You don’t deserve to be
with me.”
Finnic’s lips curved downwards. The mist in his eyes thickened. “Why didn’t you say so from the start? If knew we would end up like this, we shouldn’t have gotten married.”
“Don’t blame me. Blame your ex-lover. She was the one who op my eyes that marriage with you was just false happiness.”
Finnic started to nod. “Okay. If that’s what you want, we’ll settle everything at the final hearing. And after that, don’t ever apologize say sorry, because I will never accept you again.”
“Fine.” Sophia shrugged one shoulder. Her face was as stiff as possible. “That’s what I want. We’re not on the same level, Fin. I should have listened to my parents’ advice from the start.”
Finnic smiled sadly. “You’re the one who’s at a loss, Sophia. No man other than me will accept a criminal like you, especially after you’re in
3/5
prison later.”
Hearing those words, Sophia’s arrogance faded. “What do you mean?”
Suddenly, several men in uniform came in. The one at the front showed his badge.
“Good evening, Miss Moore. We received a report that you have committed unpleasant and defamatory acts. Here is the arrest warrant.”
While the policeman held out a piece of paper, Sophia gaped at it. No, that’s not true.”
However, two officers had already grabbed her hands. “You’re under
arrest.”
Sophia widened her eyes. His eyes trembled, waiting for an
explanation from the other.
“Frank? Finnic? What the hell? You guys called the police to arrest me?
Not getting an answer, Sophia’s voice rose. “Frank? Fin?”
However, until she was dragged out, no one defended her. Even the servants looked down with their mouths shut.
“You’re not angry that I reported your wife to the police, are you?” Frank inquired as Sophia’s voice sounded further away.
Finnic snorted sadly. “Well, she deserves to be punished and she
