S31 88. Safe
Louis chuckled. Wrapping his little arms around Frank’s body, he said, “You can’t fail, Daddy. You’re too great. The proof is that Emily and I are fine now.”
“Yes,” the little girl continued, “Daddy came on time. Daddy was able

to beat Victor. Daddy also managed to save Louis from being shot. Daddy was great!”
Frank glanced at his daughter. Stretching out another hand, he
widened his smile. “Come here, Princess.”
“Oh, I like hugs.” With a sweet smile, Emily joined in her father’s arm. There, she felt safe and warm.
“Thank you, Daddy. Thank you for coming here and saving us. I missed you so much.” Emily buried her chubby cheek on Frank’s
chest.
“Yes, I missed Daddy too.” Louis looked up, resting his pointy chin on Frank’s shoulder. “Victor said he wanted to sell us to someone els can’t imagine what would happen to me if my parents weren’t Dad and Mommy. I would definitely feel empty and miserable.”
Frank smiled meaningfully. His eyes sparkled at the twins, full of pride.
“I also can’t imagine losing you. You two are my most valuable treasure. Thank you for surviving, Kids. You are really great.”
“Do you know, Daddy? I didn’t cry at all,” Emily straightened her head and raised her eyebrows. “Even though I was scared, I controlled my emotions well. I only shed a few tears and that was just acting.”
“I don’t think it’s an act,” Louis interjected sarcastically. “Emily cried

Emily’s lips pursed. “I wasn’t crying. My tears just clotted. They didn’t have time to flow, right?”
“Yes, but your eyes were often red.” Louis looked back at Frank. “I
was worried several times that Emily would cry. Daddy and Sean had reminded us to look strong so she might not cry. But I have to admit, Emily did well. She didn’t cry today.”
Frank smiled meaningfully. “Well done, Kids. Your achievements are truly extraordinary. You have managed to apply your learning well. Daddy is very proud of you.”
The curve of the twins’ lips broke into laughter. Frank’s praise had completed their happiness.
“Thank you, Daddy.”
Once again, Frank and the two toddlers hugged. Many eyes were moved watching it.
“So, Victor Moore holds a grudge against Frank because Frank exposed Sophia’s crimes?”
“I think so, and that’s why he kidnapped Frank’s children. I didn’t expect that man to be so cruel.”
“Yes, revenge and envy are indeed the most dangerous diseases of the heart. Especially if it affects someone who has power, he can do anything. Luckily, those toddlers are not ordinary toddlers. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be able to return to their parents.”
Meanwhile, the police had arrested Victor on the floor. His hands were bent behind his back, locked by the handcuffs. His struggling made Emily turn her head.
“Daddy, what will happen to Mr. Moore after this?”
Louis túrned around too. “Is he going to jail?”
Frank nodded. “He will receive punishment for his actions.”
“He couldn’t have escaped from prison and attacked us again, right?”
Frank took a breath, a little longer. “I will make sure he loses in court, and I won’t let anyone kidnap you again. I’m sorry if I neglected to look after you.”
The twins puffed out their cheeks together. “How many times have you apologized today, Daddy? Don’t do it again. It wasn’t your fault,” Emily said.
Louis nodded firmly. “Yes, we were the naughty ones. We shouldn’t interfere in adults’ business. If we hadn’t been so bold as to ask Sean to follow Philip, we wouldn’t have been kidnapped.”
Suddenly, Emily’s eyes widened. “Daddy, how are Sean and his family? Are they safe?”
Frank nodded. “They are all being treated in hospital. The family
suffered minor injuries. Only Sean needs intensive care. He was still outside the car when the ceiling collapsed. But I’m sure he will sur
“And Philip? Has Daddy heard anything about him?” Louis asked doubtfully.
“We called Mommy earlier. Auntie said Philip had an accident. His car exploded. Philip will be safe, right, Daddy?” Emily stood on tiptoe, as if lifting hope from the bottom of her heart.
Frank lowered an eyebrow and tilted his head slightly. “Do you think Daddy came here alone?”
Seeing their father’s signature crooked smile, the twins gasped. ” Daddy came with Philip?”

Just at that moment, a young man came out of hiding. Carrying a medium sized rifle, he walked with a slight limp towards the twins.
“Hello, Badass Kids.”
The twins turned around. Seeing that familiar face, the two of them immediately screamed. “Philip!”
Louis and Emily ran to hug him. The man chuckled while patting their backs. “Did you guys miss me?”
Emily pouted. “Why didn’t you give any news? We all thought you couldn’t survive.”
