Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father novel Chapter 390

S31 133. Making a Friend

“Good morning, Bryan. How are you today?” Eva sat on the other side of the bed in a coquettish manner. Seeing that, Bryan’s eyebrows

furrowed.

“Good.” A second later, Bryan continued wiping his patient’s neck.

Eva knew that was a cold response. However, her smile widened. Her gaze turned to Mrs. Connor.

“Good morning, Mom. How are you this morning?”

The pale woman nodded with a faint smile. “Fine. I’m ready for physiotherapy. Do you want to accompany me?”

“Of course I want to. That’s my purpose for staying here so that it’s easier for me to look after you. And you don’t have to worry about my boutique, Mom. I’ve trained all my employees to be independent.”

Eva glanced at Bryan briefly. However, to her surprise, the man d

react at all.

“Have you had breakfast, Mom?” Eva deliberately sweetened her voi

While Mrs. Connor nodded, Bryan replied, “Ava told the servant to deliver your mother’s breakfast this morning. I just finished feeding

her.”

Seeing those shady eyes, Eva’s face lit up. “Really? Wow, I thought she had forgotten about Mom because of her new boyfriend.”

One of Bryan’s eyebrows moved down. He put the towel and basin on the table then turned his body to fully face Eva.

“Sorry, aren’t you Ava’s sister?”

Eva glanced left and right. “Yes, what’s up?”

“Why do you seem like you belittle her? Even though I’m a stranger and she’s your own family.”

Eva gaped at the question. After one blink, she let out a laugh. “I’m not belittling anyone. I’m just speaking the truth. Last night, Mr. Harper proposed to Ava. Have you heard that, Mom?”

Mrs. Connor shook her head. Before she could reply, Eva continued speaking. “So she hasn’t told you about the progress of her

relationship?”

Sighing, Eva shook her head. “My sister is still the same. When can she act more mature? She should ask your blessing first, then she can accept Mr. Harper’s proposal.”

Bryan turned around to get the basin. He was too lazy to respond to Eva. Unfortunately, just as he was about to step into the bathroom, Eva asked, “Bryan, do you think their relationship will last long? Will they both reach the stage of marriage?”

Bryan turned his head with his eyebrows knitted. “Why ask me?”

Eva shrugged her shoulders. The smile on her face looked innoce I’m just wondering whether people’s views are the same as mine. not that I don’t like my sister marrying a prominent person, but I thin that their levels are too different. She will definitely face more difficulties in their marriage. I mean, she can’t even wear high heels.”

“She can do it once she gets used to it. Moreover, with her extraordinary adaptability, I’m sure she can face any obstacle. You don’t need to worry. Now if you’ll excuse me, I want to clean up this

basin.”

Before Eva could hold him again, Bryan walked away. Eva’s annoyance immediately rose.

“Is he avoiding me? I still talk to him.”

Seeing Eva’s sullen face, Mrs. Connor let out a faint sigh. “He’s like that. Just let him be.”

“He’s also mean and cold towards you? But he’s a nurse. He should look after you patiently and kindly.”

Mrs. Connor took Eva’s hand. “Please don’t be angry. I will tell him to behave more carefully in front of you. Do you like him?”

“Me?” Eva let out a laugh. “Of course not. I just want to be his friend.”

In her heart, she scoffed, “How would I like a poor nurse like Bryan? He can’t give me anything. He’s perfect for Ava. Eating a piece of bread every day won’t be a problem.”

Suddenly the door opened. Ava came in with a small smile that made

Eva sick.

“Good morning, Mom.”

Eva snorted. “What time is it? Have you just had time to meet Mom? Is it because your boyfriend has already left for the office?”

Ava’s smile faded. “Don’t make trouble with me, Eva. You al

just met Mom. We’re only a few minutes apart.”

Eva took a deep breath, about to argue. However, Bryan’s voice

faster than hers.

“Ava? You came to help?” The look on his face was much differen from before. His eyes seemed to sparkle. His smile bloomed.

Ava curled her lips up again. “Yes, I can’t possibly let you work alone. Moreover, the patient is my mother.”

Bryan’s laughter sounded light. “That’s good. I was worried about having to do it alone. You know, physiotherapy is not my specialty.”

“Yes, so do I.”

“But you’re an all-round nurse. Physiotherapy is a small thing for you.” Bryan nodded his head, flattering.

“Wait a minute.” Eva raised one hand. “You can’t possibly forget me, right? I’m here to help too. Mom wants me to help.”

Ava spontaneously widened her eyes. “Are you serious about helping?

“Well, I already asked Bryan. Today, Mom will practice to stand, right?

It’s not difficult.”

While Brian smiled, Ava nodded. Her chin rose, pressing against her ticklish lips.

“Okay, if you volunteer, go ahead. Bryan will guide you.”

Eva felt victorious. While she was bragging in front of her mother, Bryan raised an eyebrow at Ava. Ava shook her head faintly.

“Just let her.”

Bryan easily received that telepathic message.

While Mrs. Connor went through a series of warm up, Eva sat there watching. She occasionally yawned. She didn’t understand why Bryan bent her mother’s legs in several ways. She only got up from the chair when Ava brought a standing aid. With confidence, she shifted Ava’s position.

“Okay, from now on, let me take over. Come on, Mom. Let me help

you.”
