S3| 158. The Wedding Night
“Philip, wait.” Barbara pressed her husband’s chest with a panicked expression. “Please don’t rush. We moved a lot earlier. My body is sticky. We have to shower first.”
Philip’s eyebrows pressed against his forehead. “You want us to do it
in the bathroom?”
He turned towards a door. Barbara pressed his chest again, followed by a light clap.
“That’s not what I mean.” Barbara looked at Philip shyly. “I still have to remove my makeup. You can take a shower first. After that-”
“We do it?” Philip smiled crookedly.
Barbara’s cheeks couldn’t get any hotter. Just being stared at like. that, she felt weak. She could not imagine what would happen
when….
Barbara shook her head, driving the dirty thoughts out of her head. Yeah, let’s do it once we’re both clean and fresh.”
Philip smiled. Gently, he put Barbara down. “I won’t be long.”
Barbara swallowed hard. Then, she hurriedly nodded. “Okay.”
After Philip entered the bathroom, she immediately grabbed onto the wall. Her other hand was fanning her neck. Her whole body felt hot.
Her stomach churned.
“How could Jeremy and Ava do this before getting married? They don’t care about their nerves? They’re really reckless.”
While walking towards the dressing table, Barbara muttered again. But it’s a pity for them too. They can’t feel a sensation like this on

their wedding night.”
A second later, Barbara saw the blush on her own cheeks. In an instant, she held her breath. “Wait. Why am I worrying about other people? I’m like a boiled crab myself here.”
Patting her cheeks, Barbara blinked to ease the awkwardness. “Okay, Barbara. Focus.” Still with a pounding heart, she removed her makeup.
When Philip came out of the bathroom, Barbara’s back straightened again. Her eyes widened. Her blood rippled, tickling all the cells in her body.
Philip only wore a towel around his waist! His muscles were so intimidating with water droplets that weren’t wiped properly.
“Oh my! I married a Greek god!” Barbara screamed in her heart.
“I am done.”
Barbara blinked. She just realized that Philip was so close to her back.
“If you’re finished, why aren’t you wearing clothes yet?” Barbara tried to keep her calmness. However, the movement of her eyes became
even wilder.
Philip furrowed his brows. His strong arm reached out, taking the comb. “Why wear clothes if we need to take them off later?”
Barbara’s breathing became more heavily. “You know that my show takes a long time. You can catch a cold.”
Philip blinked. “You want me to wear clothes? Fine. Where are my clothes? Are they in the closet?”
Philip’s hand moved closer to the towel. Barbara wasn’t ready to see what was behind it. Unable to overcome her pounding heart, Barbara
ran to the bathroom.
“I don’t know. Find out for yourself!” Her vocal cords were twisted.

Seeing her behavior, Philip smiled crookedly. “I was so wrong. I thought you’re a naughty girl, Babe. It turns out, you’re very innocent,” he sighed.
Under the shower, Barbara tried to cool her mind. However, when she
finished showering, her breathing became irregular again.
“Jeez, what’s wrong with me? Why won’t my heart slow down?”
While patting her chest, Barbara looked for her clothes. Apparently, there was a box with her name beside the bathtub. When she opened
it, her eyes almost jumped out.
“What kind of clothes are these?”
Grimacing, she grabbed her phone and stopped the music.
“Sister-in-Law? You said you could prepare everything I need, but why
is my nightgown like this?” Barbara scolded, half whispering.
“Like what do you mean?”
“Like transparent window curtains!”
“You mean lingerie? I didn’t order lingerie. I prepared a couple’s pajamas for you.”
Kara sounded confused. Barbara’s head snapped back. “Then wh prepared this?”
“Did Auntie comment on the nightgown, Mommy? Emily and I bought
Louis’ distant voice stunned Barbara. Meanwhile, Kara asked in a high tone. “You guys bought it?”
“Actually, not really. We just told the hotel staff to decorate the room so that Uncle and Auntie would quickly give us a little cousin. Then, they said they could give them special clothes as a bonus. So, Louis

and I agreed.”
“Did you guys have a chance to see the clothes?” Kara sounded
worried.
“No. They said they could put it directly in the box. Has Auntie opened it yet? Does she like it?”
Barbara sighed in disbelief. “So this is your doing?”
“Yes!” the twins answered innocently.
Barbara massaged her temples. “Okay. Where are the pajamas your mother prepared?”
“We don’t know. Maybe it was kept by the hotel staff so Auntie would wear those special clothes.”
Barbara grimaced in worry. “Sister-in-Law,” she whispered, “how could I possibly wear this? Philip would attack me as soon as he saw it.”
Kara let out a laugh. “Why are you afraid? He is your husband.”
Barbara could tell Kara was walking away from the twins. The volume?
of her voice also decreased.
“People say it hurts at the first time.
“Are you scared because of that?” Kara’s heart tingled. “Don’t wor Philip must have done it carefully. He couldn’t possibly hurt you. A it’s not as scary as you hear from people.”
Barbara bit her lip. “Will I bleed?”
“Maybe yes, maybe not. But even if it does, it won’t be much. That’s normal. If you’re afraid, just assume you’re on your period.”
Barbara was pensive. Her eyes met her own reflection in the mirror.
“I’ll be fine, right?”

“Yes, Barbara. You’re a grown woman. Put on the lingerie and meet your husband. You’ll be fine. The important thing is don’t be too tense.
Barbara nodded. Her mouth let out a quick sigh. “Okay. Thank you, Sister-in-Law. Pray for me.”
As Kara hung up the phone, Barbara couldn’t help but put on the transparent outfit. After wrapping herself in a bathrobe, she went out the door. She walked like a robot.
