S3 167. Guest “S”
Failing to jog his memory, the wedding organizer staff contacted his colleague. “Monitor two. Please provide information. What was the guest’s name?”
While the staff listened to the answer, Frank and Kara exchanged
glances. Their breath was held. Their hearts were beating faster.
“Report, Sir. The name of the guest is Sean. He came with his wife. He walks with a cane.”
Hearing that name, Frank and Kara breathed a sigh of relief. The twins turned around with round eyes. “What? Sean is coming?”
“Yes, Young Master.”
With sparkling eyes, Louis looked at his sister. “Emily, we can’t just stay here. We have to welcome them!”
Emily nodded slightly. “Yeah. Let’s meet Sean!”
Seeing that the two toddlers had already run, Frank kissed Kara’s forehead. “Wait here. We won’t be long.” After she nodded, Frank hurriedly followed the twins.
“Sean! Sean!”
Ignoring Sean’s slightly limping standing position, the twins rushe him with a hug. Sean couldn’t do much. He just smiled, whispere How are you, Young Master and Young Lady? You look good.”
“Yes, it’s thanks to you. If you didn’t give us advice, we wouldn’t manage to defeat the enemy.” Louis clenched his fist as if he wanted to crush someone.
“How are you and your family, Sean? I hope you are all well.” Emily

looked at Sean’s knees.
“My family is fine and I’m much better. Can’t you see? I can walk now.”
Instead of feeling relieved, Emily pouted. “The Moore family is so evil. You guys have nothing to do with us. They shouldn’t have involved. you.”
Looking at Sean’s wife, Emily took a deep breath. “I hope you’re not angry with us, Ma’am.”
The woman beside Sean widened her smile and shook her head. “You don’t need to worry, Young Lady. Our family owes your family. It’s only right that we protect you. We actually feel guilty for having to send you to that ship.”
Louis replied with a firm shake of his head. “You don’t need to worry either, Madam. We can understand that. You guys also have to survive. So, there’s nothing to regret. Now, how about we go in?”
“Yes! Uncle Jeremy and Aunt Ava have just said their wedding vows. Soon, the party will start. We can’t miss it.”
Emily grabbed Sean’s index finger. Holding it, she led the way. Louis. followed suit with Sean’s wife.
“Daddy,” Emily called when Frank just opened his mouth, “let’s chat
inside. Not here.”
Frank sighed in amusement. His hand that was about to offer a greeting changed direction. He patted Sean’s arm and walked bes
him.
“I’m glad you were able to attend with your wife. Good evening, Madam.” Frank nodded politely.
Sean’s wife responded with the same gesture. “We would feel bad if we didn’t attend the special event of the Harper family.”

“Your grandfather has helped me a lot. He was even kind enough to include my name in his list of heirs. Of course I have to show respect.
Sean glanced at Frank with a meaningful smile.
“Is that why you didn’t attend Philip and Aunt Barbara’s wedding? Because their last name isn’t Harper?” Louis inquired.
Sean snorted faintly. “No, I actually intended to attend. But two weeks ago, I still couldn’t walk properly. I don’t want to be a disgrace at your
party.”
“You hurt because you tried to protect your family, Sean. You
shouldn’t be ashamed.” Emily shook her head slowly. Her eyes looked. rounder from Sean’s perspective.
“Yeah, you should just come. No one will dare judge you. You are part of our family.” Louis nodded reassuringly.
Hearing those sweet voices, Sean’s heart warmed. “Thank you, Young Master and Young Lady. I really appreciate your kindness.”
“You’re welcome, Sean.”
A few moments later, Louis waved his hand. “Uncle Jeremy! Look
who’s here!”
Jeremy turned around. Seeing the guest those kids brought in, his eyebrows rose. “Sean?” He shook the man’s hand then patted him on
the back.
“Congratulations on your wedding, Jeremy.”
“Thank you, Sean. I’m glad to see you here. I actually thought your couldn’t attend. I heard you still have to undergo intensive treatmen
Sean stretched out one hand. “I’m much better now. Maybe God destined me to attend your wedding and hand over his gift.” Sean reached into the pocket on the inside of his jacket.

“His gift?” Jeremy furrowed an eyebrow.
Sean took out a letter. “Mr. Rowan once told me to hand this over to you, right on your wedding day.”
Jeremy glanced at Frank briefly. “Aren’t you mistaken? That’s for me?
Not Frank?”
Sean nodded. “Read it.”
While Sean and his wife turned to Ava, Jeremy opened the envelope and unfolded the paper. Rowan’s handwriting immediately greeted
him.
“Jeremy, my grandson, congratulations on your wedding. Sorry I couldn’t attend your special day. But remember, my best wishes are always with you.”
Jeremy covered his mouth with a fist, blocking the tears from coming out. Frank massaged one of his shoulders. However, Jeremy’s attention was not diverted at all. His eyes focused on the next line.
“Now that you are married, your responsibilities have increased. Be a good husband and father. Learn from my experience. Even though I never told you about it directly, I’m sure you know. I hope you can treat your family much better than I did before. That way, the happiness around you will be much warmer than what I felt with your grandmother and father before.”
Jeremy lowered the letter while looking up. He was sure his eyes were filled with tears. He didn’t want anyone to see it.
“Uncle Jeremy, does the letter make you sad?”
Emily’s voice made him glance over. “No. This actually makes me fee very happy.” Jeremy forced a smile.
“If you’re happy, why are you crying? Louis tilted his head.
