His Destructive, Toxic Love novel Chapter 608

On the surface, they looked like a couple who had just split up.

"Summer, we’re done, so why are you still trying to control who I hang out with? I’m telling you, you’ve got no right.”

“Her, really?” Summer sneered. “If you’d found someone better than me, I wouldn’t be this upset. But an old lady? You must be out of your mind.”

The phrase “old lady” echoed in Eliza’s mind, giving her a headache.

Calmly, Eliza put her phone away, flexed her wrist, and delivered a sharp slap across Summer’s face.

“Had enough?”

Summer, clutching her stinging cheek, stared at Eliza in disbelief. “You hit me? You steal my boyfriend and then hit me?”

“Summer, if you don’t want to lose both your man and your job, you’d better disappear from my sight. Any delay, and you’ll seriously regret it.”

Eliza’s stare was as sharp as a knife.

Summer, clueless about Eliza's background, assumed she was bluffing.

“What do you think you can do? I’m telling you, you can’t take my man, and you don’t have a say over my job. But that slap, I can return.”

Summer raised her hand, ready to strike back.

But before she could, a strong hand caught her wrist.

She looked up in shock at the man who intervened, “Casper, Mr. Casper?”

“Summer, you’ve got some nerve, messing with what's mine?” Casper swiftly released her arm and stepped in front of Eliza. “Who gave you the right to bully her like that?”

“Mr. Casper, I wasn’t bullying her. She was bullying me.” Summer, looking pitiful, pointed at Eliza. “She stole my boyfriend and slapped me.”

Casper turned to Eliza, “Did you take her boyfriend?”

“Why do you care?” she snapped, clearly annoyed.

Casper: …???

Caleb: …Our sister-in-law isn’t giving any leeway here.
