"The guests are having lunch in the banquet hall, Sir," Chad said after asking one of the staff members outside the hall." How about you get something to eat at the banquet hall first? Avery might be there right now, too."
Elliot pulled his phone out of his pocket.
His phone screen was cracked, but the phone still worked.
He found Avery's number and dialed it. His call was answered very quickly.
"Avery."
"Elliot."
The both of them spoke at the same time.
"Where are you right now?"
"Where are you right now?"
Avery and Elliot asked simultaneously.
They fell into silence. A few seconds later, Avery said, "I’m at the villa. What about you?"
"I'm coming to you now."
"Alright."
Avery hung up the phone and felt relieved.
Judging by Elliot's tone, it seemed like he had calmed down now.
It was just as Tammy had said. Once they got through today, their lives would gradually become stable.
From now on, there would be nothing else that could bring them down.
Elliot returned to the villa five minutes later.
When his and Avery's eyes met, they stood in stunned silence.
Elliot knew he was in the wrong :c#
