His Eagle Eyes on Me novel Chapter 1454

This was the longest sentence Elliot said after he woke up.

Avery looked into his eyes. She was stunned for two seconds before explaining, "I used to believe you, but Ruby told me the child in her belongs to you, which is why I'm asking you again."

"Did she really say so?"

"Hmm. Initially, she did not directly tell me. She told Layla." Avery rubbed the towel in the basin against each other before wringing it dry again and wiping Elliot down. "Layla was so furious she cried. She cared a lot about you."

Elliot was instantly agitated.

"Elliot, don't get angry first. I have already explained it to Layla." Avery's palms cupped Elliot's face and gently touched it." Back then, Ruby lied to me. She said that you have decided to cut ties with me which is why you didn't answer my phone calls. I suspected that there was a problem, so I called Nick to confirm. Sure enough, I found out that she was lying."

"Since you know she was lying, why are you still asking me about the matter of the child?" Elliot asked her in retort.

Avery was a little stunned. "Perhaps because there is no need to lie about the child since we would be able to find out if it's true or not through a maternity test. Ruby doesn't seem like a stupid person. How would she dare to use this to lie to me?

At her words, her phone on the table rang. Avery placed the towel down and picked her phone up. When she saw it was a call from Layla, she immediately answered it.

She could not wait to let Layla see that Elliot had come around.

"Layla, your Daddy is up!" Avery faced the camera at Elliot.

When Layla saw Elliot, she excitedly said," Daddy, you’re finally up! I was worried about you!"

After hanging up, Avery placed the phone back on the table.

To soothe the awkward atmosphere, she asked, "Paul hit you. Did you not hit back?" She remembered that Elliot could fight. If he hit back, he would not have been beaten up that badly.

"Once Paul takes his anger out on me only can I successfully leave this place," Elliot said hoarsely, "If I didn't come here, nothing would have happened. I deserved the consequences."

"Don’t say that. Everything is in the past." Avery pulled his covers higher. “Just get well soon, don’t think about others. When you are healed, get Ruby to do a paternity test to see if her child is yours." "If the child is mine, there could only be one possibility." Seeing how Avery cared so much about that, he stated the only possibility, "After coming over, I underwent brain surgery. After the surgery, I passed out for three days. I don’t know what happened in those three days."

Avery nodded.

"After I woke up from the surgery, I have never touched her," Elliot repeated once more.
