His Eagle Eyes on Me novel Chapter 2988

After examining the test results, the doctor said, "It's a bacterial infection. I'll prescribe some medicine for you to give to your child."

"Okay, Doctor. It's not a serious problem, is it?" Shelly asked.

"We'll see how the situation progresses after she's taken the medicine. If the coughing becomes more severe, you'll need to come back for further examination." The doctor began writing a new prescription.

Shelly looked at her daughter, who had already regained her spirits, and silently prayed that the medicine would help her recover.

Ten minutes later, Shelly and her child, under an umbrella carried by Fergus who also held onto the medication, walked out of the emergency building.

The rain had subsided significantly.

Once they got into the car, Shelly asked, "Fergus, how much did it cost in total? I'll transfer the money to you."

Since she had been carrying her daughter the whole time, Fergus had handled all the payments.

"It was just a small amount—"

"Fergus, if you refuse, I won't ask for your help in the future." Shelly interrupted him. "No matter how much it is, I have to repay you."

"Okay, we'll see when we get home," Fergus said as they waited at a red light. He could not help but glance at the little girl in Shelly's arms again. "Your daughter's father must be quite handsome, right? She is the most beautiful child I have ever seen."

Shelly could not help but smile.

As a mother, she felt proud when her daughter was praised.

"Yes. Her father is far better-looking than me."

Seeing Shelly talk about her child's father with a smile on her face, Fergus felt a bit puzzled. "Did you and the father of your child have an amicable breakup? Why did you separate? Now that you have a child, can't you co-parent?"
