His Eagle Eyes on Me novel Chapter 3093

The call was quickly answered.

"Darling, are you coming home?" said Avery.

Avery missed Ivy, and she often had nightmares about Ivy getting into a variety of accidents. She did not share these worries with Ivy, fearing it would affect her mood.

"Mom, I'm not coming home for now. I called to discuss something with you." Ivy hesitated, then continued, "Now that I've graduated, I found a job here in Taronia. I want to stay here a little longer."

Avery was stunned. "Isn't this just a short trip? Why did you get a job? What kind of job is it? Isn't there anything suitable here in Aryadelle? Even if there isn't, your dad and I can arrange—"

"Mom, I'm not staying in Taronia because of the job… It's because I met someone…" Ivy said.

"Someone? Who is it? What's their name?" Avery realized that something was off. "Ivy, you need to explain everything to me. Otherwise, I'll be so worried that I'll go there immediately."

"Mom, please don't get too worked up. It's not as serious as you think. When I was living in Taronia, there was a guy who treated me with respect, and I might have developed feelings for him because of that. I saw him today, and though he didn't recognize me, I still feel the same way about him..." Ivy revealed.

Avery's heart leaped to her throat. "What's the name of this guy? Tell me, and I'll look into him."

"Lucas Woods. Uncle Mike already knows about it," Ivy said.

"Mike knew?!" Avery was surprised.

"I mentioned it to Uncle Mike before. Mom, he now owns a company, and I want to work at his company. I don't want Archer to follow me around though; it would be strange and awkward for everyone," Ivy said.

"Are you going to start working tomorrow?" Avery asked.
