"Caspian, are you making fun of me?" Ivy asked.
"Of course not. This is the first time I've seen so many women interested in Lucas. It's exciting!" Caspian said.
Ivy fell silent.
Caspian elbowed Lucas and said, "You are in luck this year! Feeling troubled?"
Lucas glared at him. "You're overthinking this! Is romance all you think about?"
Caspian flinched. "I'll just keep quiet and watch the drama unfold."
Ivy picked up the jug and poured herself a glass of water.
Caspian immediately handed her his glass. "I want water, too."
Ivy poured him a glass and turned to Lucas. "Do you want water?"
Lucas simply handed her his glass without a word.
As Ivy finished pouring him a glass of water, Missy arrived alone.
Caspian promptly smiled and asked, "Ms. Feake, where's your companion?"
Missy replied, "He's resting at the hotel. I didn't ask him to come."
"Oh! Then I'll have the waiter bring the dishes out now." With that, Caspian signaled the waiter to start serving them.
Missy sat down beside Ivy, smiled at her, and then turned her gaze to Lucas. "Lucas, have you filled out that form yet? Let me know when it's done. You can just send me a photo of it."
Once the dishes were served, Missy ordered a bottle of red wine. "Lucas, what's your alcohol tolerance like? Care to join me for a drink? Just a little sip for pleasure."
Lucas declined without hesitation. "I don't drink. I have work in the afternoon. Caspian can keep you company; he handles alcohol well."
Holding the wine glass, Missy filled it halfway and handed it to Lucas. "Just have one drink! This bit of wine won't do much to you. Give it a try."
Lucas frowned, having no interest in drinking.
Without a second thought, Ivy snatched the wine glass from Missy. "I'll drink on behalf of my boss!"
Lucas immediately grabbed the wine glass from Ivy and downed the entirety of the red wine in one gulp.
Both Ivy and Caspian watched in surprise, while Missy said effusively, "How impressive!" She then lifted the wine bottle and poured more wine into Lucas' glass.
