His Ex-Wife Is A Billionaire (Evadne and Thaddeus) novel Chapter 312

Debby's return was a delightful surprise for the Ashbourne family!

As Debby's biological mother, Suri was the most composed and dignified of the three ladies of the household. Over the years, few had ever seen her shed a tear. Seeing her daughter, she managed to keep her emotions in check, her eyes merely welling up.

But her stepmothers, Myra and Aviana, were far more emotional. They threw their arms around Debby, weeping uncontrollably. One might have mistaken Suri for the stepmother!

"Alright, alright! Have you two had enough?"

Emeric stood by, his handsome face twisted in complaint, "It's my turn now!"

Everyone was speechless.

Reluctantly, Myra and Aviana let go.

Without missing a beat, Emeric rushed forward, embracing Debby tightly, crying even harder than the women, "Oh, my daughter! I've missed you so much! I thought you'd forgotten about me after getting married. You never came home to visit! You ungrateful girl! "

They were all speechless.

Seeing Emeric making a scene, Evadne, his other daughter, was mortified.

Thankfully, they were all family in the living room.

"Well, at least he didn't embarrass us in public," she thought, relieved.

"Dad, I never forgot about you. I'm here to see you now, aren't I?"

Debby soothed her father, patting his back gently, "Darcy has been really busy recently. I've been helping with the election campaign. I only told him I was coming home after I boarded the plane. Dad, I'm not ungrateful. I've always been thinking of you. Don't be angry, okay? I brought you a set of fine bone china. You'll love it."

Everyone watched her, feeling sympathy for her.

Years ago, she had gone against her father's wishes and married Darcy, a congressman who was ten years her senior. She had moved to a foreign land for love, seeing her family less often.

Little did they know, the Ashbourne's daughter would shine brightly in another country. Aside from the Queen, she was the second most admired woman in Helgen, voted by the public.

Such a high social status was something even Evadne couldn't match. It made her proud to have such an accomplished and influential sister.

"Where's the gift? Where is it?" Emeric finally managed to hold back his tears, his curiosity piqued.

He was just like a child who stopped throwing a tantrum after being given a lollipop!

"I met your secretary when I arrived. I've already given him the gift, along with the jewelry for Myra."

As she spoke, Debby looked at Myra gently, "Happy birthday, Myra."

"The fact that you're here is the best gift, Debby." Myra's eyes welled up again. She was always so emotional.

"What about your husband? Didn't he send anything?" Emeric raised an eyebrow, still not satisfied.

"Emeric, that's enough."

Evadne rolled her eyes at her father's insatiable curiosity. "You've got enough antiques and collectibles to start a museum. You won't take them with you when you die. What's the point of having so many?"

"Hmph, you're young! You don't understand!" Emeric retorted, pouting.

Evadne just laughed, "You're just greedy. If we were in ancient times, you'd be a corrupt official."

"And what would you be?"

Evadne lifted her chin proudly, "I'd be Samuel Johnson, the famous critic and moralist, always keeping the corrupt in check!"

Everyone in the room laughed.

"Hey, wasn't our brother supposed to be here by now? What's taking him so long?" Evadne asked.

Cassius checked his watch, "I'll give him a call."

Meanwhile, just a few hundred meters away from the Hotel.

Camille was driving her pink Ferrari, talking on the phone via Bluetooth, waiting for the traffic light to change.

"Get me the design for the Paris Fashion Week showcase ASAP. If there's any more nonsense, I will officially cut ties with them! If they ever want to hold a show in Elmsworth in the future, don't blame me for being ruthless and tripping them up!"

The light changed to green, and Camille, still fuming, floored the accelerator.

Her Ferrari shot out like a pink bolt of lightning.

Just then, a discreet Mercedes E-Class came speeding from the opposite direction. Both of them were turning, one left, the other right, and both were going too fast!

"Ah! God!"

Camille was distracted by her phone call and didn't notice the black sedan. She slammed on the brakes, sparks flying from the tires as they skidded on the asphalt!

The Mercedes driver also realized the danger and slammed on his brakes as well. The screeching sound was ear-piercing!

Then there was a crash!

Camille's body jerked violently in the car as the airbags deployed, hitting her right in the face!

Luckily, the windshield only shattered, not exploded. Otherwise, she might have been disfigured!

"Damn! I must have had some bad luck today.”

Camille opened the car door, rubbing her neck, her face twisted with anger as she got out of the car.

Her limited-edition pink Ferrari was now a wreck!

"Oh, you should've said so earlier."

Arnold, who was in a hurry to attend a banquet, had no patience to argue with her. So he pulled out a bank card from his wallet, held it between his fingers, and casually handed it to her. "Here, use this to fix your car. There's no password."

Camille stared at the bank card, her chest filling with rage. She felt utterly humiliated!

"Dude, my car is a limited-edition pink Ferrari, and now it's wrecked because of you. You want me to use your money to fix it? What are you thinking?"

"Oh, then just use the money to buy a new one. That should be enough."

Arnold was a man who valued time highly. Nothing could delay his plans, especially when it involved family matters.

So, his eyes turned cold as he painstakingly removed Camille's fingers from his arm, then suddenly pulled away.

As Arnold was about to turn around, he suddenly felt a hitch in his breath!

Camille had grabbed hold of his deep blue tie, wrapped it around her fingers, bit down hard, and yanked!

Their bodies suddenly came close, their noses almost touching.

Arnold's pupils constricted, his breath deepened, mixing with the hot breath that Camille was exhaling onto his face.

Except for Evadne, he had never been this close to a woman in his thirty years of single life!

Beneath the woman's fiery red dress, her heaving chest occasionally grazed against his shirt.

His only option was to stare intently into her eyes, as if a monk had encountered a seductive succubus, fearing that if his gaze moved half an inch lower, his thirty years of celibacy would be ruined.

"What are you doing?" Arnold's voice was slightly hoarse.

Camille snorted coldly, and from somewhere she also pulled out a bank card, held it between her slender fingers, and slapped Arnold's slightly flushed cheek with it.

"I also have plenty of money, enough to take care of you until retirement, you little punk!"

Arnold's clear eyes suddenly widened, and somehow, his heart rate was thrown off balance, his mind going blank for a moment.

"Don't think you're something just because you have some dirty money. My master is a billionaire's daughter and an internationally renowned designer. She's filthy rich. I've never seen her show off like you!"

Arnold was taken aback.

Why did that sound so familiar?

As soon as she finished speaking, Camille threw the bank card onto his leather shoes, proudly lifted her cute little chin, and briskly walked back to her car. She drove off in her damaged Ferrari, leaving Arnold behind.

Arnold watched as the pink sports car gradually disappeared into the night, standing still for a moment before a smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth.

"Pink, such poor taste."
