His Ex-Wife Is A Billionaire (Evadne and Thaddeus) novel Chapter 311

Evadne strolled toward the banquet hall, humming a tune to herself.

She knew that Mia was in for a tough time.

Well, let the games begin!

She knew Matthew, or it was more about knowing men in general. They were superficial creatures, with their pride weighing more than anything else. And if someone tarnished the reputation of the Chambers family's golden boy, he would make life hell for them.

It served Mia right for messing with her sister. A good thrashing was what she deserved!

“Evadne.”

A sonorous, affectionate voice echoed behind her.

Her heart fluttered wildly as she clenched her fists.

There was no other voice in the world that could disrupt her heartbeat.

Except for that man.

It was the man she once loved dearly, the man who had wrecked her.

Evadne took a deep breath to calm herself and turned around, her gaze icy.

Thaddeus stood a few steps away, holding a beautifully wrapped box. He walked towards her, his posture dignified, his stride as swift as the wind.

“I’m here,” his voice and gaze softened as he placed his eyes on her.

Evadne remained expressionless. “Hmm.”

He pursed his lips, his eyes filled with regret. “I’m sorry, I intended to come earlier to see if I could help you with anything. But it seems that I’m a bit late.”

The man who was once as proud as a peacock, now appeared as humble as a servant before Evadne.

“Why would we need help from an outsider for the Ashbournes’ banquet?”

Evadne sneered, glancing around. “Where’s Grandpa? Didn’t he come with you?”

“Grandpa is already here. He’s in the reception room chatting with Chairman Emeric,” Thaddeus replied gently.

“Alright, I’ll go see Grandpa. You can do as you please.”

Without a hint of hesitation, Evadne turned to leave.

“Evadne!” Thaddeus reacted urgently, grabbing her hand tightly.

“Stop pulling me! If someone sees us, it’ll cause misunderstandings. Let go!” Evadne struggled, her cheeks flushing slightly.

“There’s no one else here, just the two of us.”

Thaddeus took a deep breath, his gaze intense, pulling her closer. “As a complete opportunist, I can’t afford to miss any chance, even if I have to create one myself.”

Evadne, in her towering heels, was caught off balance and gasped.

And then, like a bird finding its nest, she fell into his firm, broad chest.

Thaddeus, his eyes wide, was left to hold her with one arm while holding the gift box in the other.

“Uh!” Evadne pressed against his muscular arm.

Thaddeus held his breath, stunned.

He could feel her soft, warm body pressing against him.

Her full, round figure was tempting, enticing.

No, he was already sinning in his heart. After all, he was a normal man.

Thaddeus’ mind went blank as his breathing became ragged, his eyes reddened.

“Evadne, you have a great figure.” He leaned in, whispering into her ear, his voice husky.

His words sent shivers down her spine as his body radiated unbearable heat, enveloping her, entangling her.

Evadne’s eyes widened in anger. She pushed him away and slapped him across the face. “Pervert! You deserve that!”

The slap was nothing more than a tickle for Thaddeus.

He didn’t get angry. Instead, he felt a thrill, his mouth dry, his mind hazy, as if he had had too much to drink.

“Even if you hit me, I’ll tell the truth. You really do have a great figure,” Thaddeus said, his gaze sincere and clear.

Was this the highest form of harassment, being serious about it?

“Shut up! Stop talking!”

Evadne’s face was as red as a ripe peach. She glared at him, “Stay away from me, or I’ll make sure you’ll regret it!”

“It doesn’t matter. I’m not interested in those things anyway. And there’s no throne to inherit in my family.”

Thaddeus gazed at her, moving closer against her wishes. “I’m only interested in you, Evadne. If you won’t let me get close to you, I’d rather die.”

“Then go ahead! Die! I won’t miss you!”

Evadne turned around, stomping her foot in frustration.

She knew it was an accident, and she couldn’t blame the jerk.

But he took advantage of the situation to comment on her figure. How could he be so shameless!

No wonder he and Jareth were such close friends! Birds of a feather!

Thaddeus watched her delicate figure retreat, imagining her flustered expression.

A fond smile spread across his lips.

“Evadne.”

Another clear, powerful voice rang out from behind, filled with longing.

Evadne turned around, her heart pounding.

Immediately, her bright eyes welled up with tears. She dashed past Thaddeus and ran towards the person who had called her.

“Debby!”
