His Ex-Wife Is A Billionaire (Evadne and Thaddeus) novel Chapter 395

Avery returned to The Velvet Haven.

Elsie had gotten the news and was already waiting for him in the room.

The door was kicked open with a loud bang, causing the crystal chandelier on the ceiling to tremble.

Seeing Avery storm in furiously, Elsie was so scared that her delicate body shuddered. She didn't dare to look at him directly and almost curled up into a ball.

Harvey, behind her, also had a look of panic on his face, silent as a cicada in winter.

Back in Helgen, he had followed Mr. Chambers, and he knew too well what it was like when Mr. Chambers was angry—it was lethal!

"Mr. Chambers," Elsie said timidly, her beautiful face revealing a look of panic.

She and Evadne, no matter how similar they looked, she could never imitate even one-thousandth of Evadne's demeanor.

"Mr. Chambers, calm down, maybe things aren't what you think?"

Before she could finish speaking, Avery strode to the coffee table, bent over to pick up the crystal ashtray, his eyes red with rage, and hurled it directly at Elsie!

"Ah!"

Elsie screamed, her arms covering her head.

But Avery didn't throw it at her. The ashtray flew past her ear, hit the wall behind her, and then fell to the ground.

The wall had a big dent in it!

"All of this is because of the trouble you stirred up on your own."

Avery cracked his knuckles; the crimson in his eyes glaring at Elsie was horrifying, "I gave this face to you. How I told you to use it, you should use it that way. Why did you have to do something I didn't ask you to do!”

Elsie's tears poured down. She wanted to cry but didn't dare to make a sound.

"Now, Elvis might have guessed about our relationship, and he might be looking into you in secret! If this reaches Evadne's ears, and she finds out that there's another woman who looks almost exactly like her in Elmsworth. With her intelligence, wouldn't she suspect, like the incident with Thaddeus and Edith back then?!” Avery's face, naturally pale, became even whiter with rage, making him look like a ghastly demon!

"Mr. Chambers, I was wrong. I really was. Uh!"

Elsie's trembling voice was choked back by Avery's slender hand. The man easily gripped her neck, his eyebrows furrowed as he lifted her rigid body off the ground.

"Mr. Chambers! Don’t!" Harvey's head was throbbing with fear upon seeing this.

But Avery ignored him, his fingers tightening, his eyes blood-red!

"Ah. Ave!" Elsie's arms hung limply at her sides, her face turning from red to purple, tears welling up in her eyes.

Ave.

Hearing this call, what came to Avery's mind was the image of Evadne's smiling face.

His heart got softened.

Because of Evadne, he was lenient towards the woman in front of him.

"I've already lost one battle to Thaddeus. Don't make me lose again."

Avery's eyes narrowed slightly. His voice carried a cold, threatening tone, "One more time, and I'll make you disappear from this world without even being noticed."

He suddenly released his hand, and Elsie's body fell heavily to the ground.

She was coughing painfully, her vision black; it felt like she had just died.

Avery took a pure white silk handkerchief from his pocket, calmly wiping his hands; as if nothing had happened, he became gentlemanly again.

Not a brutal thug in a suit.

"Mr. Chambers, this trouble was my doing. I should be the one to fix it for you." Elsie finally caught her breath, her beautiful face covered in cold sweat.

"You're going to fix it for me? What can you fix?"

Avery laughed scornfully, "Kill Elvis for me?"

Elvis?

So, that handsome man was named Elvis.

Elsie thought of that charming face, the mischievous and alluring look in his eyes, and her heart couldn't help but beat faster.

The night she returned from the bar. She dreamed of that face again.

Even she herself found it incredulous.

"If you want me to kill him, I'll do my best." Elsie gritted her teeth, sweat dripping down her face.

"He's my woman's brother, and you're going to just kill him? You're audacious." Avery glared at her, his eyes dark and ominous.

Elsie shivered, sweat soaking her hair, making her look both pitiful and lovable, "I'm sorry. Mr. Chambers."

"I don't want you to kill him. I want you to seduce him."

"Wha-what?!" Elsie was completely stunned.

"You two seemed to have a great time that night."

Avery's eyes gradually revealed contempt, "Since that's the case, why not just seduce him? It seems he's quite interested in you too, even if it's just because you have a face that resembles his beloved sister."

"No, there's nothing like that, Mr. Chambers." Elsie's heart tightened, feeling like she was under Avery's icy interrogation.

Avery sneered, leaning forward to grasp her chin forcefully, his fingertips rubbing her rose-colored lips.

Elsie used to never wear such vibrant lipstick.

It was Avery who forced her to use a passionate red, only because it was the exclusive color of Miss Ashbourne from the Ashbourne family.
